  • "Such a lovely place to stay !"

The cottage sits on the edge of the woods with beautiful views of the countryside . The hot tub was amazing and very well maintained. Very peaceful and lovely to watch the little bunnies running around in the morning. Sharon was an amazing host and very welcoming on arrival. The walks in the surrounding woods were perfect for our dog Winston and there is a lovely stream you can walk down to also. The retreat has everything you need and the beds are so comfortable! . Only one thing I could see was missing and that was a potato masher .. I really needed it when cooking, but everything else was perfect . We normally like to travel to different parts of Cornwall and never go somewhere twice, but I would definitely come back to the retreat again. thank you for a great holiday xx

Aww thanks for such a lovely review, you were perfect guests, on your return, you will find a potato masher and treats for lovely Winston, Enjoy the rest of the summer Sharon and Lee xxx Property Owner

Nestled in the heart of Cornwall, near Bodmin Moors, making it the best location for north and south coastal beaches and tourist attractions.

Boasting stunning countryside views, a woodburning stove and spacious open-plan interior, The View welcomes two guests to experience the ultimate romantic getaway in Cornwall.

After unloading in the off-road parking area, cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and kick back in front of a roaring woodburning stove, ready to enjoy some light entertainment on the Smart TV as your other half rustles up a tasty feast in the well-equipped kitchen; settle down at the intimate dining table and tuck in, toasting to a wonderful getaway with your loved one over a bottle of bubbly.

If you prefer to dine alfresco, venture out onto your very own private patio where you can enjoy a feast and admire your beautiful surroundings; for an added touch of decadence take a relaxing soak in the bubbling hot tub and relax as the stars appear overhead.

When the evening draws to a close, retreat to a spacious shower room to freshen up ahead of clambering into a sumptuous king-size bed to catch your sleep.

If you can tear yourself away from this fantastic dwelling, begin your day in the centre of Bodmin where you can tour the eighteenth-century Bodmin Jail and Bodmin Town Museum, all before indulging in dinner and drinks at one of several pubs, restaurants and bars on offer here.

Nature lovers may appreciate a day spent in Forestry England’s Cardinham Woods whereas animal enthusiasts are guaranteed to love Alpaca Trekking at Moor View Alpacas; embark on a range of walking, hiking or cycling trails that can be discovered in this lovely part of Cornwall.

About the location

BODMIN

Lostwithiel 6 miles; St. Austell 13 miles; Padstow 16 miles; Newquay 21 miles.

Bodmin, the one-time County Town of Cornwall with its narrow streets, shops and pubs, is perfectly placed for exploring all that this fabulous holiday area has to offer. The outstanding surf, rugged cliffs and hidden coves of the north coast beaches and the quieter sands and river estuaries of the south coast are both 15 miles away while on the edge of town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail. The popular Camel Trail for cyclists and walkers also winds its way through the town on its journey to the sea at Padstow. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out. Also within easy reach and ideal for a fun-filled day out, guests can visit Lanhydrock House, the small town of Fowey and Charlestown with its Tall Ships, The Eden Project and Lostwithiel. There is a good choice of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
