The property

Dart Views is a reverse-level terraced cottage positioned above Dartmouth in Devon, enjoying far-reaching views across the River Dart and out to sea, making it a wonderful base for couples or a small family seeking a coastal escape. The living space is found on the first floor, where a bright open-plan area with a vaulted ceiling takes full advantage of the elevated views.

Here, you can settle into the sitting area beside the woodburning stove, with a Smart TV for evening entertainment, or gather around the dining table to enjoy meals prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, which features a range of appliances and opens directly onto the lower patio and garden.

Outside, the enclosed decking has been updated for 2026 with elegant seating, a coffee table, and soft lighting, offering a lovely setting for morning coffee or drinks as the sun sets.

A further dining table with chairs and parasol provides an additional spot for alfresco meals.

On the ground floor, the property hosts two bedrooms, including a bright front-facing double and a twin room to the rear, with two bathrooms serving the accommodation, one offering a bath with shower over and the other a walk-in shower.

A short walk takes you into Dartmouth, where you’ll find a selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants, while nearby towns such as Totnes, Kingsbridge, and Salcombe offer further coastal charm, boutique stores, and waterside walks.

Spend your days exploring Dartmouth Castle, strolling along the South West Coast Path, or enjoying wild swimming spots at Sugary Cove and Warfleet Creek.

Further afield, the sandy shores of Blackpool Sands, Slapton Sands, and Bantham Beach provide excellent seaside days, while Dartmoor National Park offers scenic walking routes, tors, and wildlife spotting opportunities.

Dart Views is well-placed for discovering both the South Devon coastline and the surrounding countryside.

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
