"Beautiful, spacious flat, perfect for a retreat after a busy day in Teignmouth, Exeter or further afield."
The accomdation is decently equipped and has a blu-ray player & freesat tv for evenings, (There are DVDs for your use which is always handy)
The dining room can double as a games room for wet evenings (very few during our last stay)
The bathroom in the twin bedroom needs a little attention (the hot tap took some effort to turn on and wouldn’t turn off completely meaning the drips could be heard even with the bathroom door shut!)
One other issue we had were the people above us making a large amount of noise, we could hear thuds throughout the night which could have disturbed less tolerant people
The kitchen door that separates the kitchen & dining room needs some attention as it wouldn’t close and on examination we saw the jamb was damaged
The double bedrrom’s bathroom floor is a extremely slippery, a bath mat, similar to the one in the twin bathroom, might fix that. Or at least add the info to the listing
Wi-fi is decent, although an extender might be a good option for the double bedroom as the signal barely reaches from the front to the back. (Although this might be by plan rather than bad luck)
Still a lovely place to stay and as this has been our second stay we hope these points will help others enjoy it.
Thank you for your feedback and glad you had a lovely time.
Thank you for letting us know about the tap and the kitchen door. We will get them looked at and repaired.
There should of been a bath mat in both shower rooms, so apologies if this was not the case. I will ensure the cleaners check in the future to leave one.
We hope to see you again in the future.

"The property is in a good position."
Only a few minutes from the shops and train station. The apartment needs a Fan or two, also a shower slip mat. The apartment needs updating a bit.

"Accommodation very light, spacious, well equipped and comfortable."
Everything we needed for our weeks holiday. Situated in the middle of Dawlish just a few hundred yards from the train station and bus stops. We were carless and yet we managed to visit so many interesting places. Trains and buses very frequent. Information in a folder was very helpful. A lovely walking area.
Thank you for your feedback and glad you had a lovely holiday.

"We had a pleasant, relaxing week at Clarendon House, which is really well situated in the centre of Dawlish for all of the local amenities."
The apartment was clean and very well equipped and extremely comfortable for four adults.
If you have a car, Teignmouth is on the doorstep and it doesn't take long to reach Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Sidmouth, Exmouth, or Exeter if you want to visit further afield. The owner's suggestion of purchasing a week's parking permit is a very good idea as the vehicle can be parked overnight on the Barton Hill C.P., just a 2 minutes walk away, and know you haven't got to rush around feeding the payment machine.
For nature lovers and bird watchers, Dawlish Warren (waders), Aylesbeare Common (dartford warblers) and Labrador Bay (cirl buntings) are well worth a visit.
Many thanks for letting us stay in your lovely apartment.
Thank you very much for your feedback and glad you had a lovely holiday.

"The apartment, was spacious, well furnished, well stocked ,with kitchen equipment, towels, hand wash in each bathroom, and kitchen."
A nice Sony TV, an assorted collection of DVDs, for all ages, comfortable sofas, and armchairs, made the evenings enjoyable ! The front windows, facing the balcony, are in need of a little planning, to enable them to be fully closed, it was difficult to engage the catches, which eventually will become detached, and are very draughty ! The electrical socket, in the middle bedroom, supplying power to the 'Wi-Fi', is loose on the wall, and the other, in the 'Dining Room', although secure to the wall, is missing a screw, to the 'Front Plate', making it loose, also, when operating the 'Glen' heater, the plug becomes hot ! These issues aside, we had a very happy time at 'Clarendon House', a mixture of, old rustic charm, with modern facilities ! Had the weather been warmer, evenings could have been spent, on the balcony, fully enjoying the setting sun ! But hey, one can't book the weather ! We would consider, booking again !

"Overall reasonable condition."
The steps inside the residence , could be equalised a lot better for easier access for the elderly.
Also , we lost one night`s rest through bad alarm maintenance .

"On arrival no heating on therefore extremely chilly, was very temperamental all week!"
Ensuite window in double room didn't close properly so very cold in there too.not much pressure out of taps. Lounge curtains unable to close as the rail was very unstable, also windows sealed up with newspaper! Curtain in middle room hanging down.Touch light in twin room didn't work. Apart from bathroom mirrors only one other in the whole apartment which was over the fire place. Also think there could have been some sort of fire in the hearth, there was a gas log burner but this wasn't connected. All in all apart from the excellent location and cleanliness the whole apartment could do with alot of TLC. Not quite up to Sykes standard.

"Thank you for a lovely week in Dawlish."
The property is very spacious, ideal for couples with children. The decor is very pleasing, with many features, nice colour scheme and good quality furniture. Facilities were excellent, apart from the lack of a washing machine.
The small steps were a little difficult to negotiate at times, but then it did state that at the beginning. Overall a very relaxed, clean and comfortable place to stay. Thank you.
Thank you. Glad you had a lovely stay. There is a launderette just a short distance up the road which is what we use when needed.
