  • "Spacious property nice large conservatory , good open kitchen plenty of utensils for cooking, large master bedroom and plenty of storage."

    Located in a quieter part of Brixham but close to the town and countryside and cliff walks at Sharkham. Bathroom facilities good , a use of shower or bath. Comfortable settees and beds . Would stay again.

  • "We had the most wonderful few days here."

    It was a lovely place to bring my 80 year old Mother- bungalow was perfect and had everything we could have asked for. Brixham was lovely to explore. We walked into town but got local taxi service 'wave' back. Had dinner at the Breakwater Bistro which has beautiful views. Goodrington Sands nearby was perfect for my dog. Will hopefully be booking again for next year! Thank you so much x

  • "Our family enjoyed a fabulous stay."

    Everything we could have needed was there. Perfect garden for our dog that was fully secure so no worries about him getting out. It was bit further out the town that expected but only 25 min walk, plus other areas to see close. Lovely park close by, Sr Mary's for our son and walking our dog. Only short drive to some fabulous spots. Thoroughly recommend Fishcombe cove and Churston cove for a swim.

  • "I understand this is a new listed property which hasn't been used as a holiday accommodation for long so there were a few niggles but nothing that wouldn't stop us going back again."

    It would help others to know that the garden is raised you need to go up 5/6 steps to access the grass, we have miniature dachshunds that we needed to constantly watch as the level is high and could damage their backs if they were to jump down, its not a problem it people know about this in advance and it wouldn't be a problem to bigger dogs No message book for owners so we couldn't tell them direct which I would have preferred than making it public. No pillow protectors but there was a mattress protector. Only 1 small baking tray, really need 2 large ones as wouldn't be able couldn't cook much without them. Cooker hood doesn't work. No instructions on how to turn cooker ON, when we eventually found the switch above and to the left of the hob it worked intermittently, think there maybe a loose connection so we had to eat out a couple of times which was a shame as we was only there 3 nights. The hob also doesn't light without the switch on could do with some matches as a back up. Couldn't turn the subtitles OFF on the TV. Apart from the little niggles which won't take much to correct, the property was extremely clean and well equipped.

We have a miniature Dachshund also but he has no issues jumping up or down but understand all dogs are different -Message book we have steered away from as this can turn into a negative book but it is something we may consider -There are several baking dishes. We prefer ceramic ones as they last. - cooker hood & switch have been checked are all in working order - subtitles have obviously been set by a previous guest. The manual for the TV is in the drawer so that can be followed. We hope you visit again Property Owner

  • "This was I think the 4th time we have stayed in this property, The fact that we keep coming back says it all."

    It ideal for everyone, family's, couples, dog owners but also for anyone like myself who has limited mobility. Everything is more or less on one level, and we were able to bring a chair in from the conservatory that I was able to sit on. Plus a walk in shower. Its spotless comfortable and very well equipped Also its quiet, I sleep better there than i do at home.

  • "Generally fine as far as the accommodation goes but check the lights in the building which a couple were not working!"

    ! Also the kitchen equipment is in good condition in which the tin opener wouldn’t open anything so we had to buy one when we were down there, outside the grass is long and apples all over the front pathway which is a danger to pensioners,you expect standards from us when we leave so on your behalf up your standards it’s a two way street and the positioning of the property was excellent to Brixham

  • "Lovely accommodation in a central position to the area so is a great base to see the sights of the Dartmouth area."

  • "What can I say."

    This place was the perfect home from home holiday accommodation. Everything was supplied. It was the best stocked kitchen I have ever visited. There was everything you could want in a kitchen. Even had tea, coffee and sugar. There was salt and pepper which is what is always forgotten. There was things for the beach for children and games for both adult and children. It was local to lots of places to visit Would definitely recommend and would like to visit again in the future. Thank you for a great stay.

  • "The property was better than the photographs portrayed."

    It was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen contained all of the items you would ever need. We were grateful for the milk, biscuits and Easter egg left out for us. Two minor things; a lamp in the living area would save having to use the bright main lights and some instructions for the general expectations of the property would be helpful. Being out of the main town up a hill may be an issue for some but was okay for us. We had a very enjoyable weekend in the bungalow and would recommend a stay here.

The property

Just a stone's throw away from local amenities and a short journey to the beach, whilst enjoying flexible sleeping arrangements, a well-equipped kitchen, and an enclosed garden with apple trees and blackberry bushes for fresh fruit, the cottage welcomes four guests and two well-behaved dogs, ideal for a family getaway.

Park up on the private driveway before entering through the front door, reaching the study space, where you can box off any last-minute work before relaxing in the welcoming sitting room.

Head into the kitchen, where you'll find all expected appliances to ease your self-catered stay, possible to prepare delicious meals and enjoy them around the dining table located in the suntrap conservatory.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
