    Rob was a great host who also made us feel very welcome . The property has amazing views onto the Tamar estuary and is well located for visiting the delights of South East Cornwall. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay and would happily stay at 1 Brunel View again.

    "This is the second Sykes property this year that my wife and I would rate as excellent."

    The property is very well presented, spotlessly clean and has everything we needed. We expected some noise from the Tamar Bridge which, although out of view is not that far away but we couldn't hear anything at all. The property has a wonderful view of the river Tamar from the living area and from the patio and garden. We were welcomed by the owner, Rob, who lives on site. Rob was friendly and helpful and was always available if we needed anything. A great stay.

    "An absolutely delightful apartment, located at the owners home."

    The property is immaculately maintained and very clean. Rob the owner was at home when we arrived and we both commented on his warm and welcoming manner. The apartment has a delightful sitting room with a comfy sofa and armchair and views directly over the river tamar. The kitchen is well equipped with everything for cooking a full meal. We had breakfast in the apartment, but ate out at lunchtime having a lighter meal in the evening. The towels are provided and are of good quality, there is also a washing machine and a tumble dryer to wash and dry towels, or your own clothes. The bathroom has a decent shower, handbasin and macerater toilet. The bedroom was well presented with a king size bed, large wardrobe and lots of drawer space. The bedding was all hypoallergenic and good quality Egyptian cotton. There were pillow protectors and a mattress protector. The Hypnos mattress is a high end quality mattress, and obviously well used. The only thing I didn’t like is the bed faces the door, Google feng shui, why shouldn’t a bed face the door? There is a lovely terrace for alfresco dining, or sipping a glass of wine while the sun sets. Rob the owner does have a lovely Dalmatian called Charlie, who loves an apple. The dog isn’t allowed in the apartment and strangely stands outside wagging his tail. I think we only see Charlie because we love animals, but Rob has him well trained and he does exactly as he is asked. All in all an amazing apartment in a beautiful spot by the river tamar highly recommend this beautiful location and delightful apartment.

    "Beautiful apartment with fabulous river views over to Plymouth."

    Equipped with everything you could need. Very clean, bed very comfortable& a great shower Quite steep steps down to apartment but this is noted in description so didn't come as a surprise Rob was a great host. Even though he lives on site he was unobtrusive, but on hand when we had an issue with TV - sorted in a timely fashion We would definitely recommend this place and would book again if we revisited area

SALTASH

Plymouth 6 miles; Liskeard 14 miles.

Saltash is dominated by the magnificent Tamar Bridge, Brunel’s masterpiece of engineering taking people from Devon to Cornwall across the Tamar River, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Saltash retains much of its old Cornish charm with narrow streets rising steeply from the banks of the river, and plenty of shops and interesting inns. From the old quayside there are river trips up stream to Calstock, a pretty village with white cottages on a steep hillside. Here, the 120 foot giant 11-arched Calstock Railway Viaduct towers above the River Tamar and carries one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines down to the coast. Saltash offers some beautiful walks along the Tamar, and is only a five minute drive from Plymouth, with a plenty to occupy visitors including the historic Barbican quayside area with cafes, shops and bistros, the National Marine Aquarium and several theatres. A perfect base for exploring the area along the beautiful River Tamar.
