The property

L’Ancresse Cottage is a well-presented three-bedroom holiday home, and is ideally suited to families or friends seeking a relaxed coastal stay in Lyme Regis, perfectly placed for exploring the Jurassic Coast.

Situated within a popular cul-de-sac on the sought-after Monmouth Park development, on the edge of town, the property enjoys a sunny southerly aspect, creating bright, inviting spaces to return to after a day exploring.

Thoughtful touches, including underfloor heating and oak flooring across much of the ground floor, add to the overall sense of comfort and quality. At its heart, the kitchen has been carefully designed with soft grey cabinetry and integrated appliances, creating an easy, sociable space for relaxed breakfasts or preparing supper after a day by the sea.

The sitting room opens directly onto a raised, paved terrace — an ideal spot for alfresco dining or simply enjoying the outlook over the garden.

The rear garden itself is a particular feature, backing onto Colway Lane and enjoying a leafy setting bordered by mature trees.

Steps lead down from the terrace to a lawned area, complemented by a well-stocked bank of colourful shrubs and flowers,While a pedestrian gate provides convenient access to the parking area, for one car. Heading upstairs, you will find three well-proportioned bedrooms.

Two are comfortable doubles, while the third offers flexibility with a single bed and optional pull-out trundle, along with its own en-suite shower room.

From here, there are pleasing views towards the town, distant hills, and glimpses of the sea.

A family bathroom serves the remaining rooms, fitted with a bath and shower over, basin, WC and heated towel rail. Situated on the edge of Lyme Regis, the property is approximately three quarters of a mile from the beach and the South West Coast Path, reached via a downhill walk.

The town itself offers a vibrant selection of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, while the iconic Cobb harbour is a focal point for boat trips and fishing excursions.

The sandy beach, popular with beachgoers and water enthusiasts alike.

For those keen to explore further, Langmoor Gardens provides a scenic setting for a round of mini golf, while the nearby golf course offers something for more seasoned players.

Days out might include a visit to Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre or time spent fossil hunting along the shoreline – a favourite pastime along this stretch of coast.
