The property

This a wonderfully presented two-bedroom apartment located on the rugged yet beautiful Isle of Portland.

Portland View provides a coastal sanctuary for a family or group of friends looking for a relaxing getaway near to the spectacular Jurassic Coast.

Boasting captivating sea views and views of Portland Bill from its private balcony, this property is hidden away within a building that was constructed around 1949 and one that played host to the British Admiralty who carried out extensive research here.

Stepping inside, you will find everything you need to enjoy a self-catering stay and you will be delighted by the two bedrooms, both offering a super king-size bed, and one benefiting from an en-suite shower room with walk in shower, basin and WC, with a further separate shower room offering the same facilities.

Spend your down time within the open-plan living space; the designated chef of the group will delight in rustling up delicious home-cooked meals within the well-equipped kitchen before gathering around the dining table to enjoy a sociable evening.

After dinner, put your feet up and cosy down on the large plush, grey sofa and switch on the TV to catch up on your latest shows or dig out that good book that you have been saving, whilst in the warmer months, throw open the doors to the balcony and enjoy an evening glass of wine, marvelling at the stunning sea views as the sun sets on another day well spent.

Rocky and coastal scenery gives Portland its own unique atmosphere with history and heritage by the bucket load.

There is a museum, a castle and of course the iconic red and white striped lighthouse offering exceptional views over the bay.

There are many activities to get involved in such as rock climbing, abseiling and kite-surfing, and walkers and cyclists can delight in the Portland loop of the South West Coast Path, which circles around the island mapping out a trail of dramatic cliffs, rare plants and hidden coves.

Just a 5 minute drive from the property will take you to Easton Square where you will find local shops in which to pick up your daily essentials and Weymouth with its attractive Georgian seafront and golden soft sands is just under 9 miles away and has many traditional seaside attractions, with a wealth of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants all within an easy walk around the town centre, harbour and promenade.

However you choose spend your days in this scenic county, Portland View is the perfect base from which to explore all that Dorest and it’s remarkable coastline has to offer.
