  • "Excellent. There is a sun trap outside so parasol would be good."

Also plastic cups for kids. Would have been nice to check out about 11-12 instead of 10am. Also received an email the day before check out stating we had to strip all used linen, not happy to have to strip all the beds.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I quite understand your concerns over stripping beds and can understand the confusion. It does actually only mean towels and tea towels not beds so apologies for that. This is an e mail from the head office not myself and I will raise it with them. Unfortunately 10 am checkout is necessary as it does allow property to be cleaned thoroughly for the next guests coming in the same day so it is to the standard you found it. I really appreciate your comments on a parasol and plastic cups and will put these in as soon as possible. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. Property Owner

  • "It was absolutely wonderful"

  • "The property cannot be faulted."

It was clean and provided everything we could have expected. The access to the facilities in Weymouth was the best we have had in 27 years of holidaying there. The seafront is literally a 2 minute walk. The town centre and harbour nearby. Ideal for a couple or small family. Not a criticism but so others are aware the property adjoins another holiday let and they share a small courtyard. The gated nature of the property means it is very secure but carrying luggage could be a problem. Parking with the pass is difficult but there is a large car park adjacent.

Thank you so much for giving us feedback. We have only just started this venture and we are so keen to make sure that guests have an enjoyable experience. The location is ideal as you say and we are so pleased that you obviously enjoyed it. We hope that you will return in the future. Property Owner

The property

Beck House is a warm, welcoming hideaway tucked away behind a secure gated mews right in the centre of Weymouth.

A secure metal gate leads you along a neat pathway into the mews, immediately creating a feeling of stepping away from the bustle of the town and into your own peaceful corner. Located only moments from the beautiful sandy beach which Weymouth is famous for, you will immediately be aware of the calm atmosphere where you can unwind.

This small mews offers a rare sense of privacy in such a central location.

There is an excellent choice of shops and restaurants just minutes away. Inside, the ground floor opens into a bright, airy and sociable living space designed for easy, relaxed days.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need — an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and under counter fridge and freezer — while the breakfast bar offers a cosy spot for morning coffee or casual meals.

A separate utility room with a washing machine adds welcome practicality for longer stays. The lounge is a comfortable place to unwind after a day at the beach or exploring the harbour area.

Soft seating, a Smart TV and DVD player make it perfect for cosy evenings in, and the patio doors fill the room with natural light while opening directly onto the front seating area. Upstairs, the calming king size bedroom and cheerful twin room provide peaceful spaces to rest and recharge.

The sleek family bathroom offers both a deep, indulgent bath and a refreshing shower — ideal for washing away the salt and sunshine after a day at the beach. Outside, the front patio offers a lovely spot for al fresco drinks, relaxed breakfasts or simply enjoying the fresh coastal air.

A table and chairs make it easy to dine outdoors or unwind with a book.

In the evenings the outside lighting adds a real mediterranean feel.

Guests also benefit from a residential parking permit for Zone H, making it simple to come and go while staying right in the centre of town. With Weymouth’s beach and harbour just a stone’s throw away, start your day with a gentle stroll along the shoreline and breath in the sea air.

The town centre is on your doorstep, offering everything from harbour side bistros serving fresh local seafood to classic fish and chips enjoyed on the promenade.

Independent shops and convenience stores make stocking up effortless.

The railway station is also within easy walking distance, opening up effortless adventures further along the Jurassic coast. There’s plenty to explore nearby: wander through the beautiful Greenhill Gardens, visit Bowleaze Cove, or treat younger guests to a fun-filled trip to the Sea Life Centre or a visit to the fun fair.

For walkers and nature lovers, the Jurassic Coast and the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offer breathtaking scenery, wildlife and adventure.

Portland Bill is a mere 9 miles away and accessed across the famous Chesil beach.

The Pavillion Theatre offers a wide range of entertainment.

Warm, welcoming and wonderfully located, Beck House offers the ideal base for a relaxed, memorable seaside holiday — a place where you can slow down, breathe out, and enjoy the very best of Weymouth.
