  • "We had a really lovely stay."

The house was perfect for us with the hot tub and pool table being great extras. The bedrooms were all really lovely as was the upstairs bathroom and garden. The owner left milk, orange juice, a cake and dog biscuits. This was a really lovely touch. We will definitely keep the property in mind for future trips. I did leave a little note at the property but unfortunately we couldn't get the coffee machine to work and the dishwasher wasn't cleaning properly. It didn't dampen our stay but just thought you would want to know for future guests.

  • "The cottage was beautiful and spacious with really comfortable furniture."

Everyone commented on the size and comfort of the beds! The HOT TUB was to die for and got a lot of use. It was kept in tip top condition all week. Really nice and appreciated touches were the coffee beans and grinder, the dog biscuits and the welcome pack. The garden was large and very usable with shade provided by a large cherry tree complete with edible cherries. There was enough room for everybody to have their own space but still interact when wanted. Although there is a rather small shower cubicle downstairs, there really needs to be a large family shower in the main bathroom. This did not detract from the great time we had. Sarah (the host), was so kind and thoughtful and went out of her way to be helpful. Overall a great holiday cottage that we will certainly look to use again. Thank you Sarah.

  • "We had a lovely few days at the stable house."

All the facilities and amenities were great. Little extras, cake, fresh milk/ juice/ coffee beans and dogs biscuits were left for our arrival- nice little touch. The garden is all enclosed and it’s safe for the dogs to explore whilst enjoying the hot tub. Not a criticism but the only thing we found- 3 of our group had cut our fingers and couldn’t work out how- on the last day we realised it was from the bathroom locks, both had a bit missing and had sharp metal. Once we realised we put some tape over the sharp edge and it wasn’t a problem. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again we had a lovely time. Thank you

  • "The stable house is beautiful, hugely exceeded our expectations!"

It was exactly what was required for us, 8 adults and a dog. The only suggestion I could make is that it could possibly do with an extra shower. It didn't bother us too much but just the one proper shower downstairs might not be ideal for large groups of adults. Other than this cannot fault the property, everything is as described or even better! We did have an issue with the hot water during our stay, not the fault of the hosts. Rob and Sarah were fantastic, on site within 15 minutes of me contacting them, they fixed it short-term and arranged an engineer to come and rectify the problem properly, all on a bank holiday weekend! This service went above and beyond what I expected, they were a delight to deal with. I can't recommend the Stable House enough.

  • "Great location for sightseeing and walking, with a good sized well equiped garden and hot tub for spending time on site."

Accommodation is nicely decorated and spacious, with open plan kitchen dinner and large family room. Our only critism is the size of the ground floor shower cubicle, which is tight, and the absence of a proper shower unit in the first floor bath room. However, we realised there was only one proper shower unit before we booked and accept the facilities had been fairly described. The hosts Rob and Sarah were easy to contact and were a delight to deal with. We had a most enjoyable stay at The Stable House.

  • "We came to The Stable House with friends for the weekend and had a really enjoyable stay."

The house is very comfortable with beautifully decorated bedrooms and lovely homely touches. The hot tub was lovely and warm when we arrived and we enjoyed using it in the evenings especially with the outside lights overhead, however both evenings it was windy and did start raining which cooled it down somewhat! The beds were extremely comfortable and the pool table in the lounge was great. My only criticisms would be that for a property that sleeps 8 there was only one small stand up shower cubicle downstairs. There is a huge bathroom upstairs and the roll top bath was beautiful, but not especially practical for that many people (we did run out of hot water on a couple of occasions, especially when we all wanted to shower/bathe after the hot tub). Also, due to the layout of the 4th bedroom, there was no option to be able to push the twins beds together to make a double, which would have been nice as there were 4 couples staying. Despite this, it was a lovely property and I would consider staying again.

  • "A beautiful place to stay, lovely touches to detail with the fresh milk, orange juice biscuits and cake on arrival, also tea, coffee and sugar so no worries about packing them."

Would definitely stay again, just be mindful that it's 3 double beds and 2 singles if your having to share, it wasn't a problem for us but some parties might find it. All in all we loved it ❤️

  • "Had an amazing 4 night break here."

The house is so much bigger then the pictures. Beds were very comfortable no complaints from any of the party. Building work didn't hinder at all. The hot tub was a massive hit all round but the kids especially loved it. We came home on storm day and were a bit worried, the owner allowed us to stay latter to wait for the worst to pass and even tried to help with alternatives for the night. We would love to come back here but will make it during warmer months to make full use of the outside facilities.

It was everything we wanted & more, spacious yet homely. The small touches like cake & dog treats were very nice. It was a lovely place to relax. Some nice walks locally & The Rose & Crown was a great country pub to walk to. We all had an amazing time & would highly recommend.

This was a lovely homely and cosy place to stay, me and my family enjoyed evey minute, the owner was welcoming and made you feel very relaxed every little detail in the property was thought about, lots of small festive touches were made too, which made our stay perfect being winter, the hot tub provided us with hours of fun, and the bedrooms were extremely cosy and comfortable too, highly recommended and would love to return again

  • "Such a comfortable cosy house and loved the little extras which were supplied."

The house was beautiful and had everything that we needed, very comfy beds too. Only one thing which would have made it even better would have been an enclosed garden as half of the hedge didn't have a fence and our dogs would have been running off to explore into the field if we didn't keep an eye on them in the garden. Overall though we had a very happy and relaxing short break, thank you!

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad that you had a relaxing break. The rest of the garden will be fully fenced by the end of January so that it is totally secure for all dogs! Property Owner

  • "What a fantastic stay we had in Stable House."

We were a family group of 6 adults and 3 young dogs. The bedrooms were all large so no arguing over them. Super comfy beds. Everyone loved using the hot tub and pool table. The dogs had great fun playing in the large garden. All the facilities you could need - little notes dotted around the house which made the stay very easy. Bean bags and bbq for the garden were a nice surprise as they were not mentioned in the description. Only downside was no easy walks (that we found at least!) from the cottage apart from along a quite busy lane - but to be fair the dogs either played in the garden or were so tired from their days out that it wasn’t actually a problem! Would definitely recommend and would love to come back! Thank you!

It is comfortable and spacious, and the hosts were keen to provide anything we asked for. The hot tub and pool table means regardless of weather you can have a perfectly entertaining evening in, but if you wish to explore there are plenty of nature walks.
