  • "We had a lovely time."

The property was very comfortable and the view of the bay was stunning. We came down from London by train to Axminster and that worked very well. A bit of advice - you need to book at taxi well in advance. I booked six days in advance and had to call several cab companies . Saturday afternoons seem to be a busy time! My only criticism - trying to call Sykes Cottages with a couple of basic questions was a nightmare . Your new phone system really isn’t customer friendly .

  • "Convenient location, very comfortable with lovely sea views."

Please note that this flat is on the 3rd floor with no lift. Also any car bigger than a golf might struggle to park in underground car park.

  • "This was our second stay in this property as we liked the location, parking, view and balcony."

The property itself is also very nice, with modern and comfortable furnishings. Some people may not be a fan of the stairs, but this doesnt really bother us as the view and apartment itself are worth it. Thank you for all the welcome goodies, very generous considering we were only staying for three nights, but very much appreciated.

  • "I really enjoyed my stay at 9 Bay View Court and would happily stay there again in future, as it's in an excellent location convenient for beach/shops and has an amazing view from the balcony, whatever the weather, and you can hear the sea."

I found the flat clean, tidy and furniture was well laid out, it was spacious but cosy and the bed comfortable so I had a good night sleep throughout my stay. The welcome pack was well thought out and very nice, and milk in fridge appreciated too. The only improvements I could think of while there was: - Balcony doors very stiff to use! Could do with some WD40 to make opening/closing easier. - Balcony floor could do with cleaning maybe resurfacing + new mat outside as spoilt it a bit but nice table/chair set brightened it up. - Settees not very comfortable to sit on for an evening in front of the TV.

Thank you for your feedback following your recent stay at the apartment. The owner has made some recent improvements to ensure guest comfort. I have passed onto them your feedback for consideration regarding the balcony furniture, and will ask our Maintenance Team to attend to the other small issues. The Lyme Bay Team. Property Owner

  • "Perfect panoramic sea views and it was lovely to see and hear the sea from both the lounge and main bedroom."

Great garage parking which is obviously in short supply in this quaint fishing village, although I was glad it was my partner rather than me reversing down a steep slope. We had a fabulous holiday and there are some wonderful restaurants and a great micro brewery just a short distance away.

.Found obtaining the key from the key safe in pouring rain and a gale despite the roof cover quite tricky. The apartment was lovely could do with a rug or something similar to warm up the seating area as felt quite barren when relaxing on sofas . Aside from this liked the outlook beds really comfy and kitchen well equipped .

  • "The property location was perfect 2 min walk from sea front and a park for the kids 5 mins up the road."

Parking was a tight squeeze but we were aware of that before we arrived and it wasn’t a problem. With an Audi Q5 I had to get out of the passenger side but it fitted in the space. The property itself is well laid out and has everything that you would need and the view is fantastic. There are a few points of maintenance that need addressing. One of the tiles in the lounge by the patio doors has come loose and has cracked. The window unit in the main bedroom has failed so has condensation in it spoiling the view. The same unit above the door has come away from the wall and it was quite windy a couple of nights and this caused a howling sound as the wind blows through the gap. The hot water pressure is very low so takes a long time to fill the bath. Overall a great flat with a great view and afresh location

  • "Lovely, the view is worth the money alone!"

Very quiet. One small problem. The hot water was not on when we arrived, we couldn't find any instructions to turn it on and it was confusing, a little sign on the switch would help. Hope to come again!
