  • "A lovely house in a great location."

  • "The property was well equipped, comfortable and clean."

The downsides were: a high step from a slope to the front door step with no handhold very limited space in both bathroom and WC low headroom when using the stairs - we have bruises as mementoes. We would have preferred the privacy of net curtains or similar in the bedrooms.

Lots of dog friendly eateries in walking distance and great dog (and people) walks in the area

The enclosed garden at this Lymington cottage is excellent, offering ample seating for alfresco dining, a barbecue for the summer and a large shed which doubles as a games room, boasting a multi sports table with table football and pool.

Your nightly routine can begin in the bathroom, with choice of bath and shower over, before choosing between three sumptuous bedrooms to catch your rest, including a king-size, double and twin, offering plenty of flexibility.

Lymington is a bustling market town with plenty of things to do; from April to September, the 110m sea pool is a popular choice with families, wander along the marina and take in hundreds of glistening yachts and boats or visit the St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery and learn about the history of the local area.

There are a variety of shops in the town, ranging from well-known high street names to independent boutiques, plus a busy Saturday market selling fresh produce and goodies.

Lymington has the best of both worlds when it comes to walks; situated on the edge of the New Forest, you may opt to stroll alongside the ocean or head inland to discover the trees and open heathland of the New Forest.

Curlew Cottage ticks all the boxes for a memorable stay in Hampshire.
