  • "We were delighted with the property which was perfect in every way."

It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was very quiet and peaceful so a wonderful nights sleep was possible There was a very useful folder in the lounge which gave details of the property and places to visit. The only criticism was that there was no indication of the name of the property and we were a little confused at the end of our journey but fortunately the owner saw us and came out to indicate that we had arrived .She had also left a cake and milk in the kitchen for us which was very welcome

  • "Beautiful converted buildings, very warm and comfortable and with everything (and we mean everything, we found nothing to be lacking) that you need in superb order."

Couple that with a beautiful quiet location, easy parking by the front door, and warm and friendly hosts Lucinda and John and you have the ingredients for a perfect holiday/break. If I could make one small suggestion, then that would be a half step (a paving slab on a few bricks) outside the front door, as the threshold may be a little high for some! One of the best cottages we have been privileged to to stay in.

However when it rained the guttering at the back has a gap in it and it poured through on the Saturday and one night. Confusion over bins and where and what to put in. Could be labeled to make it easier. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Has most of what you need in the kitchen. Lovely large shower cubicle with plenty of hot water. Comfortable sofas in the lounge and a good size TV. Lucinda was warm and welcoming and greeted us with a lovely homemade Victoria sponge and a few treats for our dog. Lovely walks near the cottage with beautiful views of the countryside. The nearest town is Sherborn about 7 miles away. Can recommend the George for a great lunch at a reasonable price in Sherborne. Recommended for a countryside break. Possibly a little difficult to find unless you have a sat nav.

  • "The accommodation was excellent."

It would have helped if the directions you supplied did not assume that everyone has a satnav. Also it's worth pointing out that the cottage is in Somerset, not Dorset, as your "one week to Dorset" message assumes.

The cottage was extremely well appointed with plenty of room and very pet friendly , great garden space that was total “safe” with a wire mesh fence around bottom half of wooden fence . The location was rural enough for a quite restful stay but also very easy to access the larger town like Sherborne , Yeovil and Dorchester . Plenty of local walks and rambles . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at “ Puddleducks” and would love to think that we would return at sometime .
