I am sorry you felt the need to comment on some issues, had , however, we would suggest that you should have text us 2 or 3 days prior to your stay as at the time we were in a very bad area to receive a mobile phone call when you arrived. We pride ourselves on ensuring the cottage is cleaned to a very high standard, so not sure why there was dust and food under the sofas. Regarding food products, which is just the sugar, we take note of this and will ensure this is placed in a sealed container. We do like to ensure that our quests have the luxury of plenty of tea, coffee, toiletries etc, so that they do not have to worry about a visit to the local Tesco on the first day. The issues with the hot water, we would have welcomed a phone call to us or Sykes at the time and we would have done something to sort this out. We cannot solve a problem unless we know it's there. As the cottage is situated in a rural area, we are governed by the speeds that are provided. Regarding the CD player we will look into that, but again, we would have looked into it straight away if you would have contacted us. We appreciate that our guests have a long drive to the cottage so like to ensure that you can relax in the delightful garden with the home made croissants from a local bakery that we leave for you. - Sykes owner relations
