  • "Lovely Lodge and we felt really comfortable."

The layout was well thought out and we really enjoyed our stay. The decking area was very nice but not used due to the time of year but due to the construction being plastic it was extremely slippery when the temperature was near freezing.

  • "Just home from an amazing 4 days at 7 Wild Haven."

The lodge is near to new, and kept very clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The park it self is very well kept and cared for . Very peaceful and relaxing few days. Check in and out very efficient. Will definitely be staying again in the near future .

Hello Wendy. Thank you very much for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at 7 Wild Haven and appreciated the lovely park it sits in. We understand that our recommendation of The Rockingham Arms was taken up, and a very good lunch was had by all. Again, we are so please that you had a lovely time in the New Forest and welcome you back any time. Kind regards. Alan and Michelle Property Owner

  • "The chalet is in beautiful show-home condition but the instruction was to leave it as we found it which meant we couldn't relax or feel comfortable being there - we had a child and dogs so we were on the constant look out for potential mishaps."

There are strict rules to abide by listed in the chalet and a reminder email the day before departure about the housework we needed to do. Viakal left under the sink, plenty of sponges but no hoover so we were on our hands and knees with dustpan & brush - asking patrons who have paid for a holiday to leave to site as if they've never been there negates the concept of it being a holiday- I can clean for free at home. Thursday was site maintance day with lawn mower, strimmer and leaf blower parading back and forth with diesel fumes pervading the air was another disappointment. The location itself is really lovely and staff at Reception super friendly; it would be a perfect holiday without the passive aggressive nature of the owner's requirements; they seem too precious about the property rent it out.

Hello Katherine Thank you for your feedback. All feedback is welcome and helps us to improve. We will re-iterate what we said in the email we sent you: Our aim is to provide guests with a lodge that will wow them when they arrive, but we do not expect guests to have to clean the lodge prior to their departure. This is why we don't include a vacuum cleaner and only supply some basic cleaning products to be used only if needed. All that we are asking guests is that they treat the lodge with care. We certainly are not asking for guests to spend their holiday time cleaning. All cleaning will be done by us after guests depart. The email you mentioned about cleaning to be done prior to departure was sent by Sykes and is a generic email they send to all their customers who book through them. The email just politely asks for basics to be done like emptying the bins, loading the dishwasher etc. Other guests that have stayed at 7 Wild Haven have received the same email but not taken it to mean they must clean the property, as I'm confident that the thousands of other Sykes customer don't. Regarding the park maintenance, we have forwarded your comments to the maintenance team. They do take care to be as quick as possible and take other measures such as not doing maintenance at the weekends. The park is kept in immaculate condition which I'm sure many guests would prefer so I'm not sure how else they could manage this essential work. You are most welcome to stay at 7 Wild Haven again, but if you still feel that our property is not for you, we hope that you find a holiday let that has a level of cleanliness which you can relax in. Kind regards Alan and Michelle Property Owner
