  • "Lovely house with everything that was needed."

Light and spacious and very clean. Would recommend.

  • "Lovely place to stay in swanage, has all the amenities you need."

The cleaning of the house could have been better in places but generally good.

  • "We had a lovely stay at 72 Ulwell Road."

It's perfectly placed to explore the local area, both driving and on foot. The house was large, spacious, comfortable and well stocked, and the second living room at the back of the house was great, so light and airy and another place for our family to sit and chat or read, away from the other tv room. There were plenty of games provided and a very large table, perfect for gaming and family meals. The second fridge in the utility part of the kitchen was very welcome, especially for our beer and wine! Overall, a lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend.

  • "We had a lovely stay however there were things that could easily be improved."

The door to the small bedroom at the front sticks like mad when trying to close it and makes a loud noise, not ideal when you’re trying to put a toddler to sleep. The mattress in the main front bedroom is very hard and the bed frame squeaky when you turn over in the night. The garden is not currently dog proof as the fence has come away from the sitting area adjoining the fence and not been replaced so need to keep your dog on a lead in the garden which isn’t great. Now for the positives: very clean, spacious rooms, great location, tastefully decorated, kitchen has everything you could possibly need, lovely gifts on arrival, plenty of room for at least two cars on the driveway.

  • "Very spacious, clean and quiet, conveniently located property."

We were able to walk to Swanage and our elderly parents accessed the bus meters from the front door. We did not use the cars all week! We ate at both the Crows Nest and Village Inn both within ten minutes walk. Excellent parking, the side access gates allowed us to park our trailer out of sight. We enjoyed using the garden, chairs and barbeque. There was plenty of hot water and great shower pressure. We appreciated towels being provided as it saved laundry when we got home! The kitchen is well laid out with plenty of room for multiple people to work and having two fridges was useful. TVs set up was great with lots of choices, apps and streaming available. The only negatives for us were that we found the double bed in the rear bedroom was too hard, and there is no bedside light on one side of the double bed in the front bedroom. The front single bedroom door sticks and is noisy when opened. We felt the kitchen inventory needs to be re-examined as it is an eclectic mix instead of six of everything matching. These are minor points overall we had a fabulous stay. Thanks

  • "We all really enjoyed our stay at 72 Ulwell Road."

The house is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything we could need including the luxury of two fridges. We also used the garden with the outdoor dining set and loungers. We also appreciated being able to borrow the folding chairs, wind break and body boards for the beach. The rear garden is fully enclosed so no worries about our dog getting onto the road. I would highly recommend this holiday home

  • "A very comfortable and well-equiped property."

As the weather was so nice we really enjoyed being able to make use of the garden and outdoor seating area. An additional arm chair in the main living room would make it easier to seat 6 comfortably in the room without having to move a chair in from the conservatory area. Would definitely recommend this property

  • "I did write to say we enjoyed our stay but there were three problems which should have been addresses."

    1. The recycling bins were full inside and out and were not collected in our week 2 The main bathroom shower was defective. The controller had to be held in place while taking a shower. 3 The grill pan was filthy and not used by us.

Everything we needed was provided (except pepper & salt - minor problem). The kitchen is well equipped and all rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished. Although we didn't venture in to the garden, it looked like it would be a lovely place to be on a sunny day. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, highly recommended.

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
