  • "A stunningly beautiful, well-equipped property in a very peaceful setting."

Having the games room, complete with pool table, was a real treat. We all had a wonderful break enjoying the local area, especially Sherborne with its castle, abbey, quaint streets and independent shops. The Green restaurant was particularly good.

  • "Fabulous place to stay."

Really well planned layout and tastefully furnished, plus lots of extras that aren't often seen in a rental provded by the friendly owners. Within easy reach of good places to visit.

  • "We were blown away by The Gully."

It is beautifully furnished, pure luxury yet so comfortable. We had an amazing weekend relaxing in the house and garden, especially enjoying the hot tub after a fun swingball tournament! We visited Sherborne Castle and gardens which we highly recommend if staying here and had a nice cream tea in the garden centre cafe attached. Look forward to a return visit!

  • "Fantastic house brilliant for adults and groups."

Would be great to have a few more bits for kids (stairgate, high chair etc..) but couldn’t fault the property, it’s beautiful.

There is a cot and high chair available on request. We have taken on board your comment about a stair gate and will put one in the utility room! Many thanks Property Owner

  • "Fantastic property!"

Definitely has that Wow feeling when you walk in. Apart from a couple of kitchen items that we recommended to the owner (we were the first Sykes let), everything was amazing. Lovely to have milk, orange juice, cake, cookies and Easter chocolates all waiting for us - what a treat! Luckily the owner was on hand when we arrived to open the first gate, as Sykes had only given us the key lockbox code for the house. Walked to the Rose & Crown for a pint a couple of times and really enjoyed being so close to fabulous countryside and places to visit. Beautiful furnishings and hot tub. We prefer a hard bed, but that’s a personal thing and no reflection on this amazing property.

  • "Just returned from a fabulous week in The Gully."

Seven adults and one dog had a lovely time relaxing, walking and reconnecting as a family. We spent an afternoon in Weymouth, a couple of hours fossil hunting in Charmouth, visited Sherbourne Abbey and quite a few pubs! The property itself was immaculate, stylish yet very comfortable and large enough for three generations to do their own thing (fast wifi too). We are hoping to return in the Autumn.
