  • "We had a lovely time in Bridlington."

The accommodation was clean and beds super comfortable. Sam was very helpful and supplied us with an laundry airer as there wasn’t one in the property. She also organised a parking permit which took a lot of stress out for the week. The property is within walking distance of the beach as well as shopping and a handy little land train is operated between several places of interest along the coastline. We booked through ‘home to go’ and although we were told by them the listing is managed by Sykes it was very different to the listing on Sykes website. We were promised a ‘well equipped kitchen in which you could cook up a storm and eat al fresco in the garden’. On arrival we found 1 saucepan and a frying pan along with a couple of baking trays and a pizza tray. There were no microwaveable dishes either. No way would i have been able to cook pasta with sauce for 4 people unless i used the pan for 2 servings twice (but then there would have been nothing to store the cooked pasta as there was no colander either. The garden is a glorified bin area with 1 chair and a locked storage bin and 3 waste bins outside the main bedroom (not exactly a seaview!). The bins also need to be accessed by the owners so its not a private garden (so make sure gates are locked before the dog is let out.) The main bedroom could do with some more subtle lighting and I think the propery could also do with a lick of paint as there is evidence of leaks and damp all around. All in a lovely stay but expect to go out for your dinner and no al fresco dining at the property.
