“The Boat House is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need.”

Hidden away beside the loch, it is a beautiful place to escape from everyday life. We’ll hopefully be back again some day.

About the location

Fort Augustus 7.5 miles; Fort William 24.5 miles.

The village of Invergarry is situated in a peaceful location, next to the River Garry. The village offers a hotel, ruins of Invergarry Castle and a pine wood. On the first Saturday in July the Invergarry Highland Games take place, plus the Great Glen Way passes through Invergarry allowing walkers to travel from Fort William to Inverness without ever setting foot on a road. Within driving distance is Fort Augustus, which is set at the southwest end of Loch Ness, on a stretch of the Caledonian Canel, and offers a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst other places to visit in the area include the towns of Newtonmore and Kingussie. Day trips to the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle, Ben Nevis and Glencoe, with Loch Ness - home of the monster - approximately 7 miles away. A local pub with good food is only a 20 minute walk away.
