The property

Ty Mawr is a delightful stone-built house situated in Pentrefelin, Gwynedd, on the edge of the spectacular Eryri National Park.

Steeped in history, the property sits in the grounds of the former home of Lady Olwen Elizabeth Carey Evans DBE, a prominent Welsh humanitarian and daughter of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George, adding a fascinating historical connection to this special retreat.

Boasting far-reaching countryside views towards Harlech and the surrounding mountains, characterful wooden beams, a hot tub, and a games room, this inviting retreat is ideal for families and friends looking to explore this beautiful corner of Gwynedd and North Wales.

Overlooking well-stocked fishing lakes, guests can enjoy carp, fly and coarse fishing nearby, along with the convenience of a welcoming café, making this a unique and relaxing retreat for anglers and nature lovers alike.

Step inside and discover a welcoming sitting room where you can gather after days spent exploring the coast and countryside, with wooden roof beams threaded throughout.

The kitchen/diner provides everything needed for hearty home-cooked meals, while the utility offers added convenience during your stay.

For a little friendly competition, make your way to the games room, complete with a pool table and dart board, or unwind with a tune on the piano.

When evening falls, choose from four thoughtfully presented bedrooms.

The first king-size bedroom benefits from a TV, en-suite shower room, and beautiful countryside views, creating a wonderful spot to begin each morning.

A second king-size bedroom also enjoys the privacy of its own en-suite shower room, while two twin bedrooms provide flexible sleeping arrangements for the rest of the group.

Completing the interior is a family bathroom with both a bath and walk-in shower. Outside, the non-enclosed garden is perfectly positioned to make the most of the surrounding scenery.

Sink into the opulent hot tub and admire the sweeping views across the countryside towards Harlech and Eryri National Park, or simply sit back with a drink and enjoy the sun setting and the stars appearing overhead.
