Wayford is situated on the River Ant near Barton Broad. There is a large Farm Shop and Nursery, A bistro-style restaurant/coffee shop, a pub and restaurant, a small grocery and a newsagent, and a petrol station. In addition to four Boatyards, offering Day Boat and canoe hire. This is a very popular location for canoeing, also leading to the Dilham Canal. There are so many places to eat and shop, not only in Wayford but in nearby Horning and Wroxham, which also boasts boat trips and the Bure Valley Steam Railway.
