  • "Very comfortable, very clean, and in an excellent location."

    It had all the facilities we needed (including a washing machine, which isn't mentioned in the listing but should be), everything worked as it should, and the beds were comfy. The location is rural and very peaceful, and the owners are friendly and approachable but not intrusive. There are so many things to do nearby that we were busy the whole week and still have things we couldn't fit in this time so will have to come back again...hurrah!

  • "A well equipped and comfortable property just outside the beautiful village of Frittenden."

    It was very quite at night. 100% polyester bedding would never be my choice, especially given the heat at the time of our stay. Nobody else has mentioned this so I assume I am in a minority on this point. We would definitely book again if visiting the area.

  • "The Milking Parlour was just lovely."

    Very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you would need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The area is full of interesting places to visit, whether you want to stay local or go further afield. Would highly recommend. Kim kindly showed us her large flock of 2 week old turkeys, as well as the pigs and sheep they have there. Lovely peaceful surroundings.

  • "Excellent although e di feel uncomfotable in the top bedroom."

    We had to have the veluxwindow open because of the heat but when it drizzled the rain ran down on to the carpet. There was a very clever looking Dyson fan but we didn't find any istructuions which may have helped

  • "We had a great holiday with "The Milking Parlour" as a truly perfect home base."

    The cottage is just perfect for a holiday in Kent. The house was absolutely spotless on arrival and provides everything you need for a self catering holiday, up to the opportunity to buy - delicious - meat of the farm's own livestock (beef, pork and lamb). It is so well equipped (e.g. there is a washing machine not even mentioned in the house description) and cosy. The sheltered outside sitting area is just perfect to enjoy the peaceful quiet of the location. The cottage is on a working farm, but there was absolutely no disturbence. You don't even hear the freeranging turkeys behind the barn, as they don't make any noises as long as they don't see a human *ggg*. We will definitely recommend the cottage to our friends and hope to be back next year, as there's still so much do discover. The owners, Kim and Simon, were so friendly and attentive. Thanks so much, again, for even providing logs for the woodburner (so cosy!!!).

  • "We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the cottage!"

    From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. I brought handwash/dishwasher tablets etc and found everything was prepared.The owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. My 7-year-old boy went to feed the animals every morning and didn’t want to leave. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway.

    Spacious accommodation, spotlessly clean with everything you could need. There was a friendly welcome when we arrived, and thoughtful gifts of milk, fresh apple juice, crisps and sweets - much appreciated by our 15-year old! The quiet location is ideal for enjoying a cuppa in the courtyard garden with the sounds of the sheep in the distance, but equally well-placed to explore the surrounding countryside. The food and welcome at the local pub is not to be missed! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    Would happily return and if anyone was looking for somewhere in the vicinity I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place. Surrounded by the stunning High Weald and Kent Downs Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this inviting property is complete with a woodburning stove and private parking, making it ideal for those looking to explore the outdoors.

Inside, be welcomed by a warm and inviting interior that will instantly make you feel at home; the kitchen/diner is well-equipped with everything you need to rustle up delicious meals for the whole family, before gathering around the dining table to toast over a cold glass of wine.
