"A very central place to stay close to shops and Cathedral."
A lovely little garden to sit in. Very helpful and polite owners. This is the second time we have stayed here. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Canterbury.

"Wonderful place, very atmospheric."
I appreciated also the way owners adjusted windows to isolate any possible noise, so even if the week was quite busy due to university graduations, there was no problems during the night. And I couldn't believe how queit it was in the mornings - could hear only birds or later cathedral bells. Plus, don't know how the owners have achieved that, there was the best water I have ever experienced in my previous many stays in Canterbury.

"The cottage is lovely with lots of period charm and it is very comfortable."
It is right in the centre of Canterbury with easy access to shops, cafes and restaurants. The only drawback is the fact that the bathroom is downstairs with windy stairs but this is made clear in the listing. We had a very enjoyable stay.

"The nearest car park was £1."
90 per hour and the park and ride parking was 50pence per day but the buses were not running because of the Covid 19.
This information should have been made available.
But besides the parking issues we had a very enjoyable week.

"First time of booking a property away and at Christmas and we loved it."
Would definitely do it again. The cottage was more impressive once we arrived, so close to the town and had everything we needed.

"Warm, clean, comfortable, right in the city centre."
Everything in walking distance. Plenty of reading material for rainy days! Ancient building with steep stairs so not suitable for everyone. Noise from late-night revellers not a problem. Some early morning street cleaning, deliveries etc might disturb light sleepers.

"The location of this home is stellar!"
! High Street is less than a block away; the Beaney Museum is less than a block away; tourist Information is less than a block away; the Marlowe Theater is less than a block away; the Cathedral is about a block away. Good restaurants are next door and across the street. Parking is about a 5-minute walk away. What more could one ask for?
The home itself was also comfortable and cozy. The stairs are extremely steep and curvy, so would not be suitable for anyone with mobility or balance problems. But otherwise everything was perfect.
We were greeted with fresh flowers, coffee, milk and cookies. That was appreciated as well.
If you are headed to Canterbury, this is a great find.

"Lovely house in a convenient part of town, right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants and tourist sights."
Nice pub a few doors down also. The steps up to the top bedroom are very, very steep, but otherwise the house is really lovely, and we were very comfortable.

"The House is located right in the center of the city."
So you don't need a car to explore Canterbury.
The House has his own charisma. You see and feel the history. It is a very personal way of living in the house
like being individually invited. There is a warm atmosphere and we felt home just from the beginning of our stay.
If I come to Canterbury again, I would try to rent this house again.

"Beautiful cottage just a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral and shops."
Although it snowed and was the coldest week in living memory, we were very cosy and comfortable inside. Fascinating collection of books. Would have liked to know more about the history of the house, but had fun speculating.

"~This is the second time we have stayed in the cottage, so it's quirky, perhaps not everyone's idea of up to date holiday accommodation but it is 15th Century!"
!! what else should one expect! Just remember if you need to use the toilet in the middle of the night count 11 steps down and then up the stairs!! Considering it's location in the middle of the city it's amazingly quiet and super warm!! A welcome box of tea bags, coffee and M & S biscuits together with milk is an absolute bonus. One of the most comfortable cottages we have ever stayed in, we hope to book it again next year to visit the family again.

"Owners took a great deal of trouble to meet us at the property and ensured we had milk, tea, coffee, biscuits etc and with flowers in the room, excellent property full of character and amazingly central to the city, we were very happy with our stay and would readily return."
There was no info on dealing with rubbish and recycling and bins were full that we found however it was no problem for us as we disposed of it ourselves and took recycling to Sainsbury's. A big Thank you to Anita and Peter for a wonderful experience.
