  • "What a gorgeous apartment."

    Even with the bad weather it was lovely to sit inside and watch the rain over the sea. Would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely come back again. :)

  • "Absolutely delightful accommodation and location with wonderful sea views."

    Charmingly decorated and all the facilities were of excellent quality, we were extremely comfortable. Plenty to do, we recommend the shoreline walk, Lazy shack restaurant and sea food shop, Cavells Mediterranean Lounge, Folkstone, Romney Marsh RSPB and the military canal walk.

  • "Apartment #4 has been fantastic, we spent a week there and it offered everything you could wish for, space, great location, peace & quiet and luxury as well as a wide range of channels on the telly."

    As we stayed in Hythe a couple of times before, over the years, we know the local shops and restaurants which gives us an instant feeling of “coming home”. Apartment #4 proved to be the perfect base for that. Thanks to Alex & John for having us, we had a marvelous time!

  • "We had a fantastic stay!"

    The flat was perfect for our family of four – spacious, very comfortable, and beautifully furnished. Everything was spotless and so well equipped, with thoughtful touches throughout, including a lovely welcome gift which we really appreciated. The views overlooking the sea were absolutely stunning – we spent many lazy afternoons on the balcony just soaking them in. The location couldn’t have been better, close to town and plenty of great restaurants. We were lucky with the weather and managed to swim or paddleboard most days, which made the trip even more special. The host was incredibly responsive and made everything seamless. Highly recommend – we can’t wait to return!

  • "Had a great mini break in Hythe, The apartment was amazing with fantastic views of the sea and decorated to a high standard."

    The beds were so comfortable and only a short walk to a lovely seafront restaurant. There are two charging points just outside that was perfect for our electric car. Would highly recommend this apartment and will be booking again in the future.

  • "Oh what a find."

    We booked for 3 days but extended to 4. The apartment was so well equipped and decorated so beautifully by Alex the owner. Everything you could want for was provided. First class furnishings and finishes. The view from the balcony was just so relaxing and again well furnished. This apartment has a lift from the ground floor direct to 3rd floor. Made life easier to get our bags and food etc to the apartment. Parking was easy and safe right outside so no hassle. The location is perfect for long walks along the seafront and swimming in the sea safe and was clean and calm. Fabulous fresh fish shop very close on the beach great products and fab coffee shop with plenty of seating to enjoy the fresh sea air and views. Hythe town is a 5 minute walk, antique shops eateries. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you

  • "We had a terrific stay at Flat 4."

    The accommodation was excellent, spotlessly clean, well equipped, bright, airy and comfortable. Great to have two bathrooms. The situation was perfect, right on the beach with fantastic views out to sea from the balcony and beautiful sunset views from the large, side windows. A perfect place to relax! The owner, Alex, checked in to ensure we were settled and to provide recommendations for food/walks etc. The welcome gift was gratefully received too. A very peaceful stay, just what we were after!

Folkestone 4.3miles; Channel Tunnel 4 miles; Dymchurch 6 miles; Dover 13 miles, Canterbury 20 miles.

Hythe is one of the five original Cinque Ports identifed by Edward the Confesssor as ports that would provide ships and sailors to protect this part of the English coastline from invaders, and in exchange the towns would retain all legal fees assigned in court cases. Of course this made these towns far more prosperous than most towns of the same size, and the result of this can still be seen by visitors when visiting Hythe. Running through the centre of the town is The Royal Military Canal. This was dug during the Napoleonic era as a defensive measure against possible French invasion. Now this lovey waterway is more popular with walkers and those taking a break from work; the grassy banks are a delightful place to picnic or sit and read. You can even hire a rowing boat and row yourself along the Canal and this unique part of Kent. A five minute stroll from the town and you will find yourself on the sea front. This wide promenade overlooks a long stretch of beach, with views over the English Channel to France, it is ideal for a summer picnic and safe bathing. Hythe offers visitors so much with golf, tennis, riding, bowls, squash, boating, windsurfing, freshwater and sea angling all available. Romney Marsh lies west of the town and can be explored by foot, car, bicycle or using the world's smallest public railway. Hythe is the eastern terminus for the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway, so why not climb aboard and alight at Dungeness where you can visit the nature reserve, explore the lighthouse, and perhaps get a chance to see some painters and artists at work, before returning by the narrow gauge railway back to the delights of Hythe.
