10 Customer Reviews

  • "As per other reviews the property is a little tired and could do with a few upgrades."

WiFi is patchy (We found the best signal was in the bedroom) but we were aware of that from previous reviews. The heating in the cabin was easy to control so we were always nice and warm but not too warm. The shower was lovely and powerful which was perfect after a long walk in the rain. The path that you access directly from the holiday park and takes you into Keswick one way and Threlkeld the other way is tarmac, so although it was very wet weather the path wasn't muddy and it's a lovely walk.

  • "Cabin 38 is a great little accommodation, in a lovely location."

The facilities are pretty good for the price. The Cabin is cosy and warm and very clean. There is everything you need in the kitchen (however, take your own cleaning products, only washing up liquid is provided with 2 dishwasher tabs, cloths and a tea towel). The living room TV is basic freeview (take DvDs), the bedroom TV is even more basic. The WiFi is patchy but serviceable. If you're looking for a Lowfi relaxing holiday, Cabin 38 at Low Briery is perfect. The Cabin is set on a raised bank on the Threlkeld railway path side of Low Briery, so if you take a dog or small children you will have to watch them. The bank is steep and very close to the accommodation. The views from Low Briery out over the River Greta are outstanding. The walk in and out of Keswick lovely, and about a mile and a half to the town centre. In the other direction is Threlkeld, with its two lovely pubs, about 2 and a half miles away. The railway path us a flat walk and to be recommended. The staff at Low Briery are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay hugely and will definitely go back.

  • "The cabin is tired and in need of some updating and TLC."

For example, the table outside on the decking area was badly rusted and had large chunks of rusted metal peeling off it. The light above the mirror in the bathroom had no light shade on it and was just an exposed bulb. The double bed mattress was uncomfortable, needing replacing with the springs being able to be felt when lying on it. However, upon speaking to staff about this they were quick to do what they could to help, adding an extra duvet and mattress topper, which was really appreciated.

  • "Property very clean and comfortable, very quiet and pretty."

Keswick a short walk along a lovely little track (about 20 mins). Handy for sightseeing, everything close by. Couldn’t fault it really.

  • "Minimum cleaning equipment 1 jay cloth and a floor brush."

Then they had a cheek to have a sign saying leave it the way you find it. Towels were damp. The WiFi was a joke and they had every excuse under the sun about why it didn’t work. Wall paper hanging of the bathroom and stapled back on. This certainly was not worth the price 110 quid + a night .will not be back On the plus side location was good

  • "This is a lovely lodge situated in beautiful surroundings."

It's only a 20 minute walk from Keswick along the river - that in itself is wonderful. The property is fully equipped with everything you could need for self catering. The bed is comfortable as is the furniture in the lounge. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cabin

  • "Cabin was well equipped and in a lovely setting, just some minor issues found, there was no storage/shelving in the shower room for toiletries and shade was missing from light above mirror."

Cabin would benefit from some form of dressing table or mirror near plug socket in bedroom for hair/make up etc.but these were just minor issues and would not stop us from returning we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
