"Beautiful cottage, perfect location, lovely hosts."
Fantastic value for money. Ideal for a family of four. This cottage ticks all the boxes for us and we will definitely be returning. Loved watching the sheep in the field at the back and the trains. You can visit the lakes, Yorkshire Dales, Silverdale or just go for a walk along the canal from Carnforth. Best cottage we have stayed in.

"First impression was how clean and well presented it was, plenty of space for our group of 5 and 2 dogs, really comfortable, well lit, warm , up to date appliances, amazing welcome pack (the best we have received)
The basement games room was great fun and we spent a lot of time playing pool, watching movies via the barns own Netflix, Disney+ and Prime accounts which has been a first for us in a holiday cottage."
Would definitely stay there again, I think a lot of other cottage owners could learn a lot from here as it has been the best for the money we stayed in

"Lovely house in a predominantly quiet setting, occasional brief noise from a passing train and some background road noise which never bothered us at all."
The house itself was very well presented, cleaned to a high standard with just about every home comfort you could think of. Very nice welcome pack with wine, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits etc.
The house is nicely situated with plenty of places to visit nearby seaside, countryside, woodland areas something for everyone. Also it is with relatively easy walking distance to Aldi and Tesco supermarket's.
The house felt very private despite being attached to the owners house. Plenty of space for everyone even if you had 6 people staying, we particularly enjoyed the games room in the basement which had comfy seating a nice TV (both TVs had access to netflix, amazon and disney channels included) and lots of games.
Overall we would definitely come back without hesitation. Also thank for providing for our dog so well he really enjoyed the treats and comfy blankets.

"Wonderful cottage with everything you could wish for."
We had brought many items which we didn’t need as there was something there. The games room was a real bonus given the variable weather we had. Pictures on the website don’t do the size of the games room justice. Even has a Wii to play!
No issue for us with the trains, only heard a couple of times. Lovely owners who were there if needed. Hope we can come back again.

"Lovely clean cottage."
When we got there a welcome pack awaited us, this was a lovely surprise. The games room is ideal for teenagers to have thier own space. The kitchen was well equipped. The house was lovely and warm with thermostat control in both the main house and games room which was in the cellar. The only small down was the sofas in the main sitting room wasn't very comfy as very wide leading to back aching. This wouldn't stop us from going again. Good communication with owners.

"This is stunning holiday home, warm, cosy and fully equipped."
The house was spotless. It's in an ideal location to explore Morecambe, Lancaster, Silverdale, Arnside and the South Lakes. Only a short walk away is the Lancaster canal where you can follow some circular footpaths. The games room, in the basement is ideal for 'children' of all ages. The owners were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the welcome biscuits and bottle of wine.
In summary this is the best holiday home we have rented,

"We never usually leave reviews, but we just had to say how much we loved Netherbeck Barn."
We visited with our daughter, son-in-law and 7 week old grandson and had a wonderful time together. The house had everything we needed: making it so easy to enjoy a relaxing first holiday together. The house was comfortable and warm. We also found it easy to walk into town with a pram. The owner was really friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy more holidays here as our grandson grows up!

"A delightful holiday let, the best we have stayed in so far."
Very cosy for two but ample room for six plus dogs! It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, extremly well equipped with everything you would need for a holiday. The games room was just amazing with entertainment for all the family. There was an abundance of welcome gifts for us and the dogs which was very much appreciated. There is so much to see and enjoy within a small radius of this area for all ages including dogs! The owners Julie and Colin who live next door, couldn't have been more helpful. Definately a holiday let to recomend.

Well furnished, and has everything needed for the guests. The owners live next door, and are very friendly and helpful. A great location, close to the A6 and M6, and the centre of Carnforth, yet feels as if its out in the country. Beautiful scenery around the cottage and many country walks are to be had.
Highly recommended.

"Enjoyed our stay very much, a very comfortable and well equipped cottage."
Julie, Colin an Ellen had gone out of their way to make our holiday special. (not forgetting Hattie the spaniel).
The welcome pack ie., Biscuits, fruit, milk and fruit juice was an added bonus
The games room was exceptional, we didn't have any young children to entertain, but for anyone that had, it would be a boon, especially on wet days.
Our Granddaughter and her dog Ernie joined us for part of the holiday, and he was provided for with blankets, bowls, treats and towels.
Plenty of places to visit close by Morecombe, Silverdale, the Lakes not too far away, and Cartmel for the obligatory Sticky Toffee Pudding on the whole a fantastic place to stay

WOW what a wonderful cottage. Julie and family have gone way above with little touches, fresh fruit, fridge full of fresh juice and milk on arrival, not to mention spotlessly clean. The games room was fantastic, and kept the children (and adults!) entertained so much. We had the absolute pleasure of Julie bringing her 2 collie puppies around for the children to see which was so lovely. If anyone is worried about train noise, please don’t…they are very infrequent and did Not impact our stay at all… we even saw a few steam trains go by. Cannot recommend Netherbeck Farm enough.

"Spacious, cool barn, given the heatwave, and the perfect location for coast and lakes."
Lots of extras, including dog towels, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. The garden has beautiful plants and has great views, with the addition of lights at night-time. The games room has games for all ages, puzzles, and art activities, in addition to the pool table. The hosts are friendly but not intrusive. There is some traffic noise from the nearby motorway, but not enough to spoil or put us off staying again. Bolton-le-sands beach is a lovely, natural nature reserve, with shallow water. Cycle hire at Windermere was great, and the local water-sports centre is worth looking at too. We would definitely return to Netherbeck Barn!

"What an amazing place!"
Lovely friendly greeting from Julie and Colin who are just next door. The accommodation is comfortable and stylish with everything you need and lovely unexpected touches like fresh fruit and flowers. Nice to have a welcome pack so that you can have a brew and a biscuit before unpacking in the delightful bedrooms. Great shower in the ensuite and plenty of hot water for a long soak in the bath. Big fluffy white towels to dry off. The basement was an added bonus with lots to do, comfy seats and a tv with wii and dvd. Leading out to a lovely walled courtyard with an abundance of plants and flowering shrubs that smell divine. Table and chairs with a parasol for those sunny days. The only downside was that we were only there for 3 nights, so we promptly booked a week for a longer stay. Can't praise this property enough and can't wait to return.
