  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Arnside House."

We found the property to be clean, comfortable and spacious. Plenty of towels, crockery, pots, pans and utensils. The Leisure Village was a pleasant place for our dog walks and we had a nice meal in the bar. We enjoyed pottering about locally- the Heritage Centre (lovely new, dog friendly, coffee shop)walking the bay at Silverdale and Bay View Garden Centre(good dog friendly cafe). We hope to return to Arnside House.

  • "Our stay here was fine, great location to explore and the park was nice and quiet, parking is great as you can park right outside."

We bought a pass for the swimming pool which was going to cost us £40 for 3 days for 2 adults but we managed to get it for £20 in the end. The lodge is as described in the booking it was clean but could do with cobwebs clearing from the doors etc i opened the back door to be greated by a huge spider hanging down and quite a few spider nests. As stated in other reviews it could do with a little fence/gate around the property as dogs can easily escape and the side and back of the property could do with a tidy up..carpets could do with replacing and if the floorboards upstairs can somehow be sorted as they are really creaky!

  • "Really nice property and location but let down by cleanliness and upkeep."

Lots of cobwebs and dust at the property, litter around the outside of the property including a bag of dog poo left near the back steps. The decking was also broken which was a hazard, so we couldn't let the children play outside as a result. We emailed the owner and contacted Skykes during out stay with no response which was very disappointing.

  • "Lodge is clean and comfortable, however, it is looking a little tired in areas."

The carpets are in need of a good clean or replaced. Lots stains and wrinkles. Floorboards squeaky to extent that if someone woke up during night everyone woke up due to how creaky the floor boards are

  • "The house was very clean and comfortable."

The owners kept us up to date and was very friendly. It was our wedding anniversary and they left us a bottle and chocolates which was so thoughtful. The house was fully equipped and very spacious.

  • "The accomodation was lovely and the park is quiet and well kept and near to some lovely places."

Going with two early teens though, we went to the pool only to find that we would have to pay to use it. The advert doesn't state this but that we have "access" to the pool and gym which is ambiguous to say the least. This represents a hidden cost that we weren't expecting and this should be clearer.

Many thanks for your comments. The Sykes advert does mention that the leisure pass is payable but we will contact you to discuss the advert you viewed at the time of your booking. Property Owner

, I took my own.) It was comfortable warm and the kitchen area was well supplied. The Bar was totally covid friendly and we enjoyed a couple of visits. Our 11 year old grandson particularly enjoyed using the X Box in his room. All in all a great holiday in a lovely area.

  • "We had 4 wonderful nights staying at this beautiful cottage, away from hustle."

The cottage was warm, clean, cosy, comfy and spacious. Loved the kitchen and dining area, pictures on the advert does not do justice. Tesco and Aldi were only 5 mintues drive away so everyday shopping was very convenient and handy. We felt like home and couldn't have asked for more. Holiday park was nice and quiet, half hour to drive to Windermere and most other attractions of Lake District .Thoroughly enjoyed and definately will go back. Highly recommended.

  • "Lovely holiday home, well maintained and very clean."

Fully equipped with everything you could need - and more! Spacious living area and large bedrooms. only criticisms were poor water pressure in shower and needed a closed in balcony for dog security. We had a great holiday and the location was good for getting to The Lakes and Morecambe easily - car needed...

  • "The lodge was easy to locate and entry was quick and easy."

The lodge looked clean but we found a black vase near fireplace with hole in side and no wifi working.contacted sykes but was passed to various people and nothing resolved for 3 days. Then mark the owner contacted me and got wifi sorted and things got better for us all as two of guests were working so needed to keep in touch with their contacts. Also the decking area was very slippy and i had to sweep up all leaves and spiders webs which should have been done by cleaners.deck would also benefit from being made safe as lodge says safe for dog but nothing to stop dogs running off.i would still recommend this lodge as it us still good value for money.
