"We all had an amazing time and the children absolutely loved being on a working farm and the interactions they were able to enjoy with the animals."
Especially a very friendly chicken, Penny the dog and Rosie the Pony! The views from the lodge are absolutely stunning and the accommodation provides lots of privacy. Steven and Lorraine are the perfect hosts and were there to give great advice on places to eat and days out. There are some fabulous walks directly from the farm and Blackpool and Morecombe are only 40 minutes away. We really enjoyed star gazing in the hot tub and will definitely be back.

"Lovely owners and a beautiful peaceful location."
However the accommodation was a bit too much like being in a caravan for us. We would definitely not class it as a lodges! it was always cold no matter how much heat we had on, the lounge fire was ineffectual. The van did not feel overly clean, particularly the floors, the shower room and toilet. That said it is comfortable enough for a short break and the fresh eggs from the farm was a nice touch. The hot tub is also fab with stunning views whilst relaxing.

"Just no words for how lovely and amazing this place is."
Amazing weekend away at hillcrest Lodge. Lovely owners Steve and Lorraine leave you to it but around on the farm if you need anything. Steve even brought us come lovely fresh eggs for breakfast from the chickens on the farm. We got to pet and feed the horses and loved waking up to amazing fresh countryside air and beautiful views. The lodge its self if beautiful, warm and cosy and very clean! The beds was so comfy and there was lots of room for 4 of us to enjoy our evenings in after exploring beautiful chipping. When we left we had a chat with Steve and told him our plans for the day which included going for.lunxh locally, we forgot a bag and when they couldn't get in touch with us by mobile phone they called the local pub we told them we was going so qe would have chance to go back for it! We really CANNOT wait to book back. Thank you sooo much!!

The only comment I could make is it is a caravan and not a log cabin as it looks in the photos. Still nice and warm, just needs updating.

The lodge has everything you need, it's a true home from home and the hot tub is amazing. We spent lots of hours in it over our 4 day stay. Thank you for your kind hospitality and thank you for the fresh eggs, they were lovely! The scenery is stunning and we actually made it to the top of Harlech Hill. The views from the top were amazing! We went pony trekking for 2 hours and it was a great fun activity for any age! I have never sat on a horse and they made me feel so safe. I am hooked. The animals at the side of the lodge are so funny to watch, we even had a visit from a goat and a chicken on our decking. Thank you again for a fabulous stay, see you next year.

Owners were kind and polite and happy to go out of their way for you if you needed anything.
It has everything you need. Somewhere to eat, sleep and wash. Local amenities aren't too far a walk or drive away either.
We'll be sure to be back in the future to take advantage of the incoming hot tub which will make the post hill walking aches and pains much more bearable!

"It was a 1960 or 1970 caravan cladded in wood not a lodge."
The was the same age done up with a staple gun and fabric. We never found the central heating ,when told to flick on electric fire in the morning it was so cold you could see your breath. The fan heater in the bedroom was so noisy you could not leave it on in the night so you woke at 5.30 with a cockrill and a freezing nose. The twin room is a 23 inch bed and every one over the age of 6 would find it too small, this room had a small fan heater in stuck up on a shelf with a wire hanging to the plug in a socket not safe if a room for children.I shall not tell you about the cold showers we had and the water flow or lack of.

"Hillcrest croft is in a wonderful position at the foot of Parlick Pike and the views from the cabin are superb."
There is a good sized double bedroom but the twin is very cramped and the beds are narrow. However a pull-out sofa bed is available and fairly easy to make up and put away. The separate toilet and the shower room are also quite small. The cooking area is adequate and the cabin is well equipped with all essentials. The weather was very cold at nights during our stay in April 2021, but the heater warmed the place up, once it got going. We had three splendid days walking right from the door in the wonderful Forest of Bowland and the walk down to the village only took about 40 minutes using the field footpaths. We could easily think of coming back.

"The cabin is set in a amazingly beautiful and very peaceful location."
the cabin its self was very cosy and met quite comfortable, apart from it being extremely cold at times it met my basic needs.
My only concerns was it was advertise as a Lake District location when the Lakes was over an hours drive away plus the prices was a bit high but i understand that this was probably due to the booking happening over the Festive period.
over all a 9 out of 10 experience
