  • "Lovely cottage, extremely clean and furnished to a high level."

Very quiet location in an ideal place to explore the Dales. All essential services within a few miles easy reach.

  • "Superb holiday accommodation."

The lodge had been beautifully designed, built and equipped, was spotlessly clean and surrounded by wonderful countryside. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Directions need slight amendment because the 8 dustbins are now 3 large ones! Thus the recycling information inside the property also needs to be updated.

  • "A fantastic cottage, furnished and equipped to a very high standard in a really lovely location."

A very peaceful place with lovely views across fields of sheep and lambs, Great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and perfect for chilling out at home when the weather isn’t great. We really enjoyed our two weeks stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

  • "We loved our stay at the Whernside Lodge!"

The photos online do not do it justice. It is built to a very high spec and could easily be lived in, we definitely felt at home as soon as we arrived. The information booklet was very handy and the owners were so helpful when we got lost when we arrived and when we couldn't find the tea towels. It is also a great location within reach of so much to do. We will hopefully be returning for another visit in the near future!

  • "We stayed a week with two young children."

They do tend to make a bit of mess when eating so a hoover in the property would be useful. Even just a small handheld one to keep on top of the crumbs! The dustpan and brush didn’t really work. Other than that, wonderful place to stay. Very spacious and perfect for our youngest who had a great time scooting round on his little trike every day. We loved it!

Very stylishly and thoughtfully designed and decorated with quality furnishings and artwork. it really did feel like a home and the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make it so. We had a wonderful stay and were sorry to leave.

Spotlessly clean, great location and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the view of the rolling countryside, sheep, cattle and sweet horses is magical. We don't normally go back to the same place but with this cottage we will be making an exception.

Really beautiful furnishings, such comfortable beds and tastefully decorated. Situation was perfect, we were easily able to have day trips to Lake District, Carlisle, Halifax Harrogate and Howarth as well as Pendle Hill. And each day we were able to go back to such a peaceful setting, surrounded by the sheep, lambs and horses. Thank you for making our stay so fantastic.
