  • "Tired & needs updating & a thorough clean."

Carpet & sofas need cleaning & they smell dirty Neither us or site staff could open patio doors They and us had problems with the main door lock. We got locked in for a short time. Kitchen items stored in base units, difficult to see & reach for pensioners mobility. Kitchen cooking items inadequate for 6 people but luckily we were only 2. Cutlery drawer 3 metal teaspoons. Utensils bare minimum. Sharp knives 2 smallest had their points snapped off though were usable otherwise. Toilet seat wouldn't stay up. Bedrooms need curtains for sunny mornings. No bins in bedrooms No mirrors in bedrooms Bedroom next to bathroom too small for double bed & doesn't allow for a wardrobe. Middle bedroom door creaks Loudly when opening or shutting. Rusty door fittings Bed sheets were unironed. A nice bedroom chair needed in middle bedroom, bed is high. Cords for lifting blinds had been broken/cut off. Fridge smelt sour and door was damaged Unit next to door had some of surface finish ripped off. There were no instructions for using: fire, tv, oven or microwave. The decking was filthy, hadn't been swept in a long time and the bush things either side if the door got in the way. There was a problem with the boiler but the owner got a temporarily sorted before our departure. Some things may sound minor but are the things that help customers to enjoy their stay and come back. We will not be coming back to this lodge. We stayed in a lodge on the same site not long ago. 7 nights for a little more money and it was clean, well maintained, comfortable, very well equipped, throws for the dog. It was Very nice.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. As this is a holiday rental there are some things that get slightly damaged (scratch on fridge, small part of laminate from the top of shoe storage unit peeling off), we cannot immediately replace every item that gets slightly damaged. We will pass on your comments about cleanliness to our cleaners, we regularly go to the lodge ourselves and always find it cleaned to a very high standard. As a family of 5 we find that there is plenty of cooking equipment - please specify what is missing? We only have base units in the kitchen as it is a lodge...clearly shown on photos, otherwise kitchen equipment would be stored on the work surface which I'm sure would not be suitable. We are very sorry that you had an issue with the locks and boiler. We were at the lodge prior to your arrival and had no issues with the locks, we will ask for someone to attend to understand what the issue is. Regarding the boiler an engineer has attended and a very small pressure leak was found behind the boiler which has now been fixed. I can confirm that the decking was swept the day before you arrived by ourselves. However as I'm sure you can appreciate (and with the name of the lodge) we are located in the trees and even a small amount of wind blows a lot of debris onto the decking. Unfortunately this is not something that we can control but we do have a brush incase guests would like to have a quick sweep round themselves. The 'bush things' located next to the door are clearly shown on the photos, I apologise that they are not to your taste. We have 3 mirrors located within the lodge, however we will take note of your comments about mirrors in bedrooms. Instructions for appliances are located within the manual, the fire is a simple switch but we add some instructions for this also. Overall I find your comments quite harsh and can't help but think that you were a little upset that we wouldn't accept your date change 3 days prior to your holiday. Property Owner

Where it is situated I could imagine in high season it would still be quiet would definitely come back.

  • "The lodge is lovely, cosy and very well equipped."

We had a lovely holiday. Lots of games and DVDs to keep the kids entertained in the evenings. There was some confusion over the facilities available. We had assumed that use of the pool was included, but Lakelovers kindly offered free use of an alternative pool. We didn’t use this in the end, but very impressed with how they dealt with the situation.

  • "Overall stay was lovely."

A few things needing updated around the cabin.. microwave (Took a while to get warm milk for our toddlers bottle). The beds mainly the master double it was sunk on either side and the pillows were very flat. The bed sheet and duvet sheet also felt very cheap. Couch wasn't the comfiest but was fine as your not sitting in it all night the way you do sleeping in a bed. The TV was great that it had a netflix account logged in. My daughter loved watching that. Decking was safe and secure with the gates (would have loved a hot tub) but that would just be a wee loved extra. Shower worked great and cabin is in a great location just off the main road for cars traveling through the resort so felt safe having my dog and child as only people that would drive up were parking at a cabin which is only a few of.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We will definitely take note of your suggestions, unfortunately the park do not allowed the addition of hot tubs any longer (those already with hot tubs are allowed to keep them but no new ones allowed...this is something we would also love to have!). We are glad to hear that your daughter enjoyed herself and you were happy that she was safe. We look forward to welcoming you again on the future. Property Owner

  • "Freaky enjoyed the stay, we will be returning."

So beautiful with the tree top surroundings being higher than the rest. Decking could of been tested to impress more but did not retract from our enjoyment. Seetee's a little uncomfortable says the missus but again minor issue. Really great to walk 2 mins to the edge of the lake in peace & quiet, we loved that part. Great location as well it must be said to a lot of places around the lake as too others, Morecambe & Grange over sands half hour tops. If you cook, oven shelves a little temperamental but loads of places to eat out, even on site with collection service. Next time the missus said we staying longer abs she sometimes difficult to please lol.

Thank you very much for your feedback, we are so pleased that your enjoyed your stay at Tree View Lodge. We will take note regarding your comments on the decking and try to make it more inviting . The oven shelves are adjustable, we have tried to fix them on the correct setting a bit better to ensure that they are securely in place. We hope to welcome you once again in the future! Everything there is so perfect, well managed and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Outdoor patio acts as cherry on the top where you can sit and enjoy the soothing nature, healing yourself. Overall, we really really enjoyed staying there and would highly recommend.

  • "Lovely well kept lodge in a great position within the park."

This is our Second visit to the lodge and we will definitely be booking again. The lodge was spotless and the facilities well maintained. We spent a week in the lodge with our 2 year old who loved her bunk bed. The site also puts on morning entertainment in the clubhouse at 10:00am each day which is great fun for little ones - free of charge.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again in the future Property Owner
