  • "It was a lovely cottage, well appointed, beautifully clean."

I loved the garden and sitting and watching the sea view. The location was great and had no problem parking in next street about 30 yards from house. The welcome basket was great as well.

It’s a beautifully done up old cottage with everything a couple (and their dog) could need. Cosy and comfortable on cold February nights! We had a wonderful time in The Bay and loved Lower Heysham Village. Only downside is the lack of parking.

The furnishings and facilities in the cottage are all high quality and so add a real sense of luxury, plus the owners really have thought of everything and so we immediately settled in and felt at home. The enclosed outdoor space was also ideal for us as dog owners, with the added bonus of a great view out to see from the top deck!

However this did not detract from the superb accommodation. We loved the terraced garden and enjoyed the sunshine and the sea view. Every comfort was provided. This was our second visit and certainly won't be the last. Thankyou to the owners who have thought of everything possible for this relaxing home from home.

The attention to detail from arrival, complementary wine and even their own Netflix account for the cold winter nights were very well thought out. It really was a home from home and very much enjoyed our stay. We struggled to even leave the cottage for days out as it was that warm and cosy! We will definitely be returning this year. • "Cockle Bay Cottage exceeded our expectations - you cannot communicate via photos just how comfortable it is and how tasteful the renovation."

The cottage was quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed our stay in the cottage and in the area. There is a beautiful walk around the bay along the promenade into Morecambe. The old village of Heysham is picturesque with a great gastro pub/hotel and also a cafe with delicious food. There are lovely walks in the area too. It was very easy for us to find parking close to the cottage.

  • "Little cottage that packs a big punch."

Great renovation with fantastic attention to detail loved the upper decking with sea views. So much to see around the property, it was like a treasure hunt. Lovely village and beach ideal for dog walking. Lots of local history and a trip to the heritage centre is well worthwhile. Good food at the Royal in the village and the Bookmakers has a good collection of real ales. If you are looking for a peaceful break this cottage is ideal. The only concern we had before arriving was the lack of parking, but it was not a problem, and even over the bank holiday weekend we had no trouble parking 50-100 metres from the cottage. All in all a very relaxing week.
