“Lovely location, superb cottage & garden.”

Lovely, welcoming neighbour. Our only reservation was lack of parking at the cottage, difficult to unload/ load luggage. Though always free spaces on nearby roads as stated.

The property

Situated within the bustling village of Heysham on the edge of the dramatic Morecambe Bay, is the idyllic Cockle Bay Cottage.

This heart-warming retreat comes within close reach of the glorious coastline, a rolling countryside and a magnitude of historical landmarks to explore during your week-long break with your loved one.

The interior comes with carefully selected furnishings and quality fixtures to ensure a welcoming base to return to each evening after an action-packed afternoon.

Be welcomed into the kitchen, where you can look forward to rustling up delicious home-cooked meals before joining your partner at the dining table to plan the day's ahead whilst tucking into your meal.

This space is joined by a warming gas fire which offers comfort during those chilly winter evenings whilst you're curled up on the sofa and tuned into the TV.

As the evening draws to a close, retire to the night’s embrace within the mezzanine-style bedroom, where you will find a well-presented king-size double bedroom and a wall-mounted TV.

During a balmy afternoon, spend a moment or two within the garden which is situated over two levels, with the upper level boasting breath-taking sea views to admire.

If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, a short walk will bring you to a choice of pubs, restaurants and takeaways to cater to all tastes, as well as a number of shops for picking up the essentials.

Whilst here, venture to the port where you can hop onto a ferry and spend a day at the Isle of Man, or a short car journey will bring you to the city of Lancaster where you will find a larger selection of amenities, the superb Williamson Park and a number of historical landmarks to discover.

For those feeling adventurous, head slightly further afield to spend time upon the Forest of Bowland AONB, where you will find a magnitude of opportunities for walking and cycling amidst a landscape of moorland.
