  • "Our stay at Bay Horse cottage was fantastic and didn't want to leave ."

The cottage was very clean, warm and welcoming and in a lovely area . We wanted for nothing while in the cottage as the lovely owners had thought of everything and more. And also welcomed us with a welcome gift. The owners Nancy and Brendan were lovely and made our stay even more enjoyable. And we so enjoyed seeing the animals being led past the window to their shelter morning and evening. My only regrets were that we had only booked a week and had to leave .

  • "Lovely comfortable, clean and cosy cottage."

This was perfect for our stay in January. A welcome pack and a roaring fire greeted us on arrival which was not expected and very thoughtful. The animals were hilarious and very friendly. Although the friendly owners live next door they were there if you needed them but not overbearing. Walks via the canal into Skipton on the doorstep! Altogether a great visit and we would definitely like to return.

Nothing was too much trouble very friendly and lovely people who made our holiday we chatted with Brendon and Nancy and also the animals what a gorgeous place to live the cottage is great big open fire the bath was amazing and everything you needed at hand. Also very convenient to get to skipton either by walking along to the canal or car plus you can walk to Gargrave along the canal or by car lovely tea shop there plus a nice pub with lovely food called the mason arms also very friendly .was sad to leave but will definitely be back hopefully in the new year .thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us .

  • "It was a great place to stay perfect for Skipton, Brendan and Nancy perfect hosts."

The farm animas were a delight and I shall miss them Extremely comfortable cottage, it's just a two mile walk into the town plenty of cafes and local shops to explore. Plus the lovely Skipton Castle and woods. If there was a negative not quite sure where to store our food. But otherwise would highly recommend.

  • "Bay Horse Cottage is in a superb location with many interesting places to visit and sights to see within a short drive."

The cottage is furnished to a very high standard with a well-equipped kitchen. The owners live in a neighbouring property and are exceptionally welcoming. The basket of Yorkshire produce that greeted us on arrival at the cottage was much appreciated. The collection of family pets outside the front door including adorable alpacas and George, the grumpy donkey, were a source of endless amusement. The Bollywood Cottage 3 miles away in Gargrave serves excellent curries - booking advisable.

Very clean and well equipped with the added bonus of friendly and helpful owners next door, and a menagerie of farm animals to keep visitors amused. Great location for the Yorkshire Dales and only a few minutes drive into Skipton. Walks along the canal are on the doorstep. Good WiFi signal and all mod-cons, combined with great rural charm. Couldn’t fault it!

  • "Delightfully welcoming hosts and animals!"

Lovely welcome pack was a surprise. Cottage well appointed and clean. For fully self catering a few basics such as grater, sieve and a few more sharp knives would be good. But Nancy provided a new pan during the week when we asked for one so I am sure we could have asked for these too and they would have been provided!

  • "The owners of Bay Horse Cottage could not have been more hospitable."

They have thought of everything to make the stay at Bay Horse as comfortable as possible. I have never stayed anywhere at all where I felt so much at home. They deserve great credit for the way they let their property. It was far far better than we could have possibly expected. You should say Thankyou Nancy and Brendan.

The stone cottage is beautifully located and presented, looking out onto fields and our daughter really enjoyed seeing the Alpacas, sheeps, pigs and turkeys over the fence. There is plenty of parking and all the facilities you could need. Bolton Abbey is only 15 minutes away, Skipton is 5 minutes away and Malham 25 minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Many thanks.

At once we met the alpacas and pigs and the sheep and the feeling of happiness was overwhelming. Once inside the cottage we were at home ,the peace and quiet and the layout of the cottage was just what we expected and more. There is a local farm shop near by and the bull pud and restaurant just up the road and all were fantastic clean friendly and with covid very very safe. We were sad to leave and for sure we will be back and to see our friends ...including the animals and to view and visit this fantastic place Yorkshire. The owners live next door and they're such lovely people, they can't do enough for you, Brendan even played basketball with our son :). Then there's the farm animals, they're so entertaining, especially the alpacas, but they're not noisy so don't worry about that. Lots of places nearby to visit, just a short car ride away. We had the best time, thank you.

The cottage is extremely comfortable, with every amenity that you could wish for. The extras provided by the owners (prosecco, chocolates, biscuits, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, fresh eggs, jams, sauces etc etc) added to what was already a brilliant experience. We were made to feel extremely welcome. The animals in the field next to the cottage were brilliant - the alpacas, pigs, Paul the sheep (who thinks he is an alpaca) and the turkey, all gave us a warm welcome too.Easily the best cottage we have stayed in by a country mile.
