I’d just like to say what a pleasure it was to stay at this particular lodge ( Mon Reve ) whoever the owner is should be told that the little things like the milk in the fridge the tea / coffee the nibbles etc were unexpected in this day and age but greatly appreciated the comfort cleanness and the equipment in the kitchen second to none they really should be proud of the effort that’s been put in to make complete strangers so welcome so whoever you are we as a couple and one happy dog would sincerely like to thank you for a wonderful holiday Ps every chance we will be back one day

Thankyou so much for your very kind review. Much of the credit goes to my cleaner Sharon who ensures all guests get a warm welcome including the four legged ones. We try to make the lodge a proper home from home and we are glad you appreciated that. Best wishes (owners) John and Carolyn Property Owner

  • "What a lovely two bedroom lodge in the middle of the valley."

Well equipped, only fault was that one side of the toaster didn't work (right side). The site is lovely and quiet with the added bonus of the grass cutters (sheep) visiting daily. Very reasonably priced too. The cleaners were only just leaving as we arrived because they thought it was 4pm check in and not 3pm but the lodge was immaculate and the stressless chairs were a delight.

  • "I was really pleased with the lodge, site and where it is situated within the Lakes."

The lodge was really clean and tidy and gave me the ability to relax and use the kitchen without issue. I was able to get out walking just above the pub on site, but feel a book with some suggestions of what’s available on site and locally would be a great addition for people attending. I had a Mi-fi dongle and that meant I could access Wi-fi, I noticed I could have gone on local Parkdean Wi-if but that seemed slow and was interrupted. Might be a thought to get own Wi-fi to lodge as that would assist guests. Saw cleaner on arrival who was really pleasant and gave good local advice, which was welcomed. Would stay here again, dogs really enjoyed themselves, thank you.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed the location, and found the lodge to be tidy. We take all comments and suggestions on board. We hope to welcome you back again. The Lake District Lodge Holidays Owner Relations Team Property Owner

  • "The Lodge was lovely and really comfortable."

There were a few minor issues that we found, but these didn’t spoil our stay. The Wi-Fi shown in your welcome message did not show up as an option Some of the doors were quite tight and needed force to open, with the man bedroom being the most difficult The main on-suite sink took a long time to empty so possible unblocking required. Would definitely recommend the property

  • "Beautiful lodge, exceptionally clean and well equipped."

Surrounded by lovely scenery. We made use of the fantastic deck and sat out on the outdoor wicker furniture, we found the cushions in the box outside that was keeping them dry. Thank you.
