"Very Happy with our recent stay, lodge was perfect, very clean and tidy and all mod cons!"

"Nice little lodge that's well equipped."
Tastefully decorated, Good WiFi, even games for kids when the weather is yuk (we arrived at the start of storm Claudia) It's in a lovely quiet spot on the site. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi on site are also a bonus. The only downside is the beds & mattresses in one of the twin rooms are awful, you can feel every single spring and the beds themselves are very small, don't expect a great night's sleep! We were a party of 4 adults, 2 children.
Many thanks for your review. We are very happy that enjoyed staying and making use of all the equipment including the games. Thank you for bringing the mattresses to our attention. We will look to replace them. Unfortunately larger beds would not fit in the room. We hope to welcome you back to Tawny Owl Lodge again. Best wishes Frances and John Property Owner

"We had a wonderful time at the lodge."
It is located in a lovely quiet spot on the park & it was very clean & well maintained. It has all the facilities you need and the kithen is very well equipped. Comfy lounge area, & decking on two aspects with patio furniture. Great place to stay, thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay in our Tawny Owl Lodge and hope that you will return in the future. Frances and John Property Owner

"The overall stay was good."
Third bedroom was very small and claustrophobic. Didn’t have any WiFi for first day and second day en-suite sink was leaking at the back so couldn’t be used. Called maintenance but no one ever came.
Thank for your feedback. The bedrooms are all of a standard size for lodges. Recently, a power cut affected the entire site, including the WiFi. This was beyond our control. Our housekeeper informed us about a slight leak in the en-suite sink, and we had it rectified on the same day. We hope you enjoyed your stay. Frances and John Property Owner

"We have had a lovely break."
We have enjoyed a great, slightly challenging, Troutbeck to Baystones circular walk this morning parking on the roadside at Troutebeck church, we stopped for a drink and some lunch at The Queens Head At Troutbeck- super pub/food. Lodge has been great, has everything you need and lovely quiet spot. The facilities have been just enough for our 15 year old and his friend (muga, arcades) Lovely lunch at The Boardwalk Bar + Grill yesterday - Teens said - best burgers ever!

"Nice lodge on the whole."
However we felt that the furniture requires updating as the sofa is in poor condition . The master suite is great but the single beds in bedroom 2 are very dated and uncomfortable. The kitchen facilities and the tv’s are great. With a few tweaks the lodge would represent better value for money. The situation of the lodge is great for being in the heart of the Lakes.
Thank you for choosing Tawny Owl Lodge and for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Frances and John. We have replaced the sofa Property Owner

"Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful lodge."
We all had a brilliant time, the children loved making friends and playing in the park. Everything that was provided with the lodge was used, oven cooked a lovely toad in the hole :)! Highly recommend, and will be looking to book a week here again soon. 5 Stars!
