Everything was spotlessly clean and the little touches of the welcome box and welcome pack were amazing. We would highly recommend and we'll definitely be back.

The cottage was lovely and clean and had everything you could possibly need - The owners were so friendly and helpful and we arrived to find a lovely welcome hamper which was such a kind gesture . Our dog loved the garden which was all secure so no worries of her escaping . I would definitely recommend this cottage to other people .

  • "We had a lovely stay at Hillcrest for a week."

Nicola, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely welcome basket on our arrival. The house is very comfortable and was perfect for us, as was the location and the garden is very dog friendly. Lots of great sights and walks all within an easy drive. Would definitely recommend. Good places to visit for walks - Clumber Park (pay to get in but worth it), Sherwood Forest, Idle Valley Nature Reserve.

  • "We said we would return to Hillcrest…."

.and we did! Our stay in November was so comfortable, warm, and cozy and our hosts made us feel so welcome that we happily booked a second stay at Hillcrest in February! This lovely cottage has all the facilities, is private, peaceful, light and cheerful. Our welcome box contained delicious items thoughtfully chosen by our hosts for our specific dietary needs. The proof of a great holiday property and excellent hosts is returning guests. We will be back again soon!

  • "A beautiful property."

Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and sofas. The owners are lovely, not only a thoughtful welcome pack on our arrival but came on our last day to tell us not to rush off as it was really foggy and to stay until it lifted.. Cottam is a small village but a must if like us you just want peace and quiet.. its still only a 10 min drive to clumber so plenty to see and do.. One of the few properties we've been to that we would actually love to return back to. Thank you so much Nicola for making us feel so welcome.
