Afternoon tea was delicious, with some lovely touches... would advise to order with a few days to spare as so bountiful you need time to enjoy the cakes for more than one session! The cottage was really well furnished and the garden was large and fully ‘dog safe’! Our dog loved the stay as much as we did. I would gladly live in this cottage as a permanent home. One of the best places we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Would recommend for an dog owners who don’t want to worry about any escaping! Would definitely return if ever back in the area.

On my arrival I made a cup of tea and sat out in the garden watching the swallows chirp and sing and flit around above me, it was delightful. I will return.

The house and grounds are amazing. There is every possible thing you could ever need in the house; everything has been thoroughly thought through for a visitors stay. The option of an afternoon tea, which is a match for Betty's is amazing and the ploughmans fathers day lunch on the Sunday was a 9.5 out of10 for my husband. (A 10 wold have meant he was in Cornwall in a cider garden !!) high praise indeed. But most of all you are not just dog friendly you are dog welcome and it makes such a difference. Thank you so much for a brilliant long weekend. and for making sure we had an amazing stay. Elaine, Paul and Ella Bowers x.

My only suggestion would be to mention the power station in your property description and that it is now decommissioned - it is a significant element in the local area and would have put us off booking the property had we looked on Google maps before we booked as we would have assumed it was still in operation.
