  • "The cottage is delightful, warm and cosy."

Our hosts were excellent - there when we wanted them, but not intrusive. The walks were spectacular even in November. I would certainly recommend it and hope to visit again.

  • "We stayed at Paw Barn for 5 nights, 2 adults a toddler, an infant and 2 dogs."

Nice location, with views over the fields, and a walk to the nature reserve right on the door step. Property nicely decorated, and hosts really welcoming. A few things to do in the local area, with skewness and Ingold ells a 30-40 minute drive away. We went to the Lincolnshire animal park which is 25 minute drive away, which we would highly recommend, fantastic for kids, and a lovely day out. A few points about the property that would have improved our stay: it's listed on the website that there is a dishwasher...there is not. Very few utensils for cooking, or baking trays. No oven gloves. Washing machine in property, but no airer to hang washing (which is a necessity if you have young children that need several changes of clothes a day)-radiators to hang washing on, but an airer would have been better. No iron, again which would have been useful. Kitchen bench to sit at with big heavy metal stools, that whilst nice aesthetically, are cumbersome and need to be constantly moved to access the cupboard space. Not much storage for food if you're planning to do a big food shop for the week, especially as it's listed to accommodate 4 guests. Worth noting if you are taking dogs, the property has no enclosed garden space and opens straight onto a quiet country road, which wasn't a problem for us, but might be if your dog doesn't listen! But, overall we had a nice stay, just with 2 children these suggestions would have made the stay practically a little easier.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We will do our best to accommodate with additional kitchen supplies.Unfortunately we sometimes get missing items, or even breakages, like glassware which, sadly, our guests omit to tell us about on departure, so we cannot always replace things immediately between stays. Our listing does not say we have a dishwasher, and we do our best to be kind and supply multiple cleaning products free of charge. We do have a washing machine, and there is a fold away drier in the bedroom cupboard on the shelf. As people tend to stay 2 - 5 days,an iron and ironing board would not be a good use of our space. We have found that when we go away as a family we take enough clothes for our trip and imagined others would do likewise. However, a washing machine is always handy for accidents or muddy days.Again, we have supplied washing powder and fabric conditioner free of charge with the other cleaning products.I appreciate the chairs are heavy,we will move them to the other side of the counter to stop them from blocking cupboards. We do try to go out of our way to be accommodating by supplying lots of extras.Tea, coffee and sugar.Tea towels (which can be used in place of oven gloves) multiple indoor games sets, free supply of wood for the fire and extra blankets in the cupboard. We do not have an enclosed garden (the pictures and description don't contradict this) however we have a company booked in to separate a portion of our garden off to make a patio for guests to use which will be fully secured. We are located in a secluded spot, and the only vehicles are either our own or occasional tractors when it's a picking or planting day. And our listing does state a maximum of 2 'well behaved' dogs.We feel we are extremely good for value for money. We supply a huge range of appliances and a very high level of comfort and cleanliness. We go out of our way to supply many extras free of charge, just to be kind. And the location is beautiful and we strive to keep improving. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully converted barn, finished to a very high standard."

The décor is both tasteful and thoughtful, with lovely touches that really highlight the surrounding area. The location was perfect – so peaceful and ideal for morning dog walks along the path between farmers’ fields, with easy access to Frieston Shore for longer walks. One small point: the two breakfast bar chairs, while stylish, weren’t the most practical. A set of four smaller chairs would make it easier for everyone to sit together at the bar to eat. The Ninja Foodi was a great touch – it made preparing a birthday lamb dinner for my partner a pleasure. Overall, a really memorable and relaxing stay.

  • "Beautiful spacious property renovated well to match the area."

Very peaceful area and enjoyed the dark night sky with no street lights. Loved the fact that parking and WiFi was available (FOC). Granddaughter thrashed us at Ludo & Snakes and ladders which was on site and loved meeting the owners and their dogs. Our party was 2 adults & 5 yr old. Whilst there was 2 bistro dining tables & chairs outside, inside at the breakfast bar there were only 2 stools available. Would have liked additional stools to match number of guests for dining purposes. Would have preferred a few more cooking utensils, ie ladle / tongs and place mats for surfaces for cups / plates etc. Plenty of storage / hangers in bedrooms and large mirror next to plug sockets for drying hair etc. Dog friendly walks from the doorstep and The We’ll meet again museum within walking distance. Many happy memories created and would thoroughly recommend.

Known as the gateway to Lincolnshire’s wonderful countryside and waterways it is a haven for wildlife and offers excellent walking and cycling. The town plays host to a large market twice a week which has been established for more than 450 years. Outside of the market you can enjoy a network of medieval lanes with a good selection of independent and national shops surrounding an impressive 14th century church, one of the East of England’s most imposing landmarks.
