The property

Red Stag is an impressive holiday lodge resting on the Portnellan Estate, on the outskirts of Crianlarich, Stirlingshire.

Built specifically as holiday accommodation and arranged across two floors, this substantial lodge is well suited to families or groups of up to eight guests seeking a high‑quality base amid some of Scotland’s most striking scenery.

From the private parking area, a ramped entrance leads into a welcoming hallway, where a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer sits just off to one side.

The ground floor hosts three generously sized bedrooms, each designed with comfort and privacy in mind.

The principal bedroom features a super king-size bed, seating area, and floor-to-ceiling triple-glazed windows that frame views over the cascading Ben More burn, alongside an en-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and shower over.

Two further ground-floor bedrooms include a king-size and a twin, both served by en-suite shower rooms.

Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor allows individual temperature control in each room.

A handcrafted beech staircase or an internal lift leads to the first floor, where the fourth bedroom is located alongside the main living spaces.

This bedroom offers a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room.

The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area forms a remarkable social space, finished with bespoke cabinetry and designed for shared time together.

The dining table seats ten guests, while the living area is arranged across two seating zones: one centred around a large Smart TV and the other focused on a glass-fronted woodburning stove, perfectly positioned to take in uninterrupted views towards Ben More, Glen Dochart, and the surrounding mountains.

Outside, the estate setting provides access to a range of shared facilities including fishing on the river and lochs, cycling and walking trails, a games room, and a small gym.

Kayaks and rowing boats are available for use on the water, making it easy to enjoy time outdoors without leaving the estate.

Local amenities including shops and pubs are within easy reach, while days out can be spent exploring Crianlarich, heading to Glen Coe for dramatic mountain scenery, or visiting the shores of Loch Lomond.

Further afield, Oban, Fort William, and Stirling offer memorable day trips.

After full days exploring the Highlands, return to Red Stag to enjoy estate living and expansive views in a memorable Stirlingshire setting.

Note: This property has a refundable Good Housekeeping bond of £250.
