  • "Personally I would prefer a thicker mattress but slept okay on yours."

... Back doors could do with a hook on wall as on windy days they don't stay open... Games room, maybe a coat of paint inside (Cornish cream or similar) but great to have the facility.. Having said that, great place, loved the whole week, think the dog loved it even more, Will be recommending you to family and friends

  • "Our first time to Aberaeron."

First off the scenery to the Stable is amazing. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Andy who was very polite and helpful. The stable is kitted out really well. Very spacious and extremely clean. The service we got was top notch by the family. There is so much to do around the area, we will be back soon and will be telling family and friends about this stunning place.

  • "Great property in a beautiful location."

The enclosed garden for my dog was great so she could have a good run round. The games room was a nice addition. There are a few things which would have made it 100% - a tea towel, oven gloves, kitchen sponge, ignition to work on BBQ, a mirror in downstairs hall as that was the only place I could plug in straighteners.

The Dog loved his walk in the woods and the local beaches which were in the welcome information with post codes to help is find them. Hot tub was lovely as well. I would recommend as a really nice place to stay and either relax or go out walking and exploring.

Very dog friendly and felt very homely. All appliances were very clean and well equipped. The walk through the woods to the national trust property is steep but worth it! Also try the Moody Cow Bistro a short drive away, the food is amazing!!

  • "Lovely cottage in a rural location."

Stunning views out on to the Welsh countryside. The road to the cottage was very bumpy, so not suitable if you have a lowered vehicle. But it’s worth it for the remote location. That said you are only 10mins drive into the beautiful Aberaeron. Cottage was well equipped with full kitchen. Floors & stairs were a little creaky but only as you’d expect from a cottage. The owners live on site and we’re very friendly when we bumped into them. The hotub was easy to use and situated perfectly to allow you to take in the views. If you are visiting in the colder months, don’t worry about being cold as the heating system was amazing, with rooms heating up almost instantly! The shower was very powerful and lovely & hot. The garden was fully enclosed so perfect for our dog. If you like craft beer make sure you check out Y Bryn - a brewery pub about 20mins drive from the cottage. Well worth the trip.

Great location in the country side. Every thing you need fir a home from home holiday. Hot tub was a delight after a day out walking. Single beds a bit firm for me. Great hosts lots of places to visit in a car. Lots of lovely beaches again you need your car.

  • "The Stable was lovely."

It had a proper rustic feel to it - oak beams and wooden flooring. The owners were really friendly and accommodating, and were very quick to sort out a minor issue we had. The property is on a real working farm and it was a real treat to be able to watch the cows being milked. My toddler loved the little play area and also running round the farm grounds. The hot tub was lovely to relax in each evening.

  • "We had a lovely stay at the stable and a fantastic week in wales."

The owners were really friendly and made us very welcome. The pros -The location is stunning. The views from your hot tub and garden are just beautiful. Rolling hills and cows coming right up to the garden fence. There are lovely walks right from the doorstep - The owners invited us to watch the cows being milked and meet their newborn calves. The children loved this and the owners spent lots of time with us and made it a great experience. -the hot tub is a fab addition. It was clean and the owners checked the water every morning. Views from hot tub are awesome. -the shared playground was great for our children. Very safe and they loved it. - our umbrella broke and they got us a new one straight away. We also expected a gas bbq but it was a coal one. They swapped it for us straight away! A few little improvements -Check in 3pm. We arrived at 4pm but was told cottage would not be ready until 5pm due to extra cleaning. Totally understand this but 5pm is too late and Sykes should have contacted us to make us aware. - the living room and kitchen is on first floor and it was difficult keeping our toddler away from the stairs. We put the sofa in front of it but a stair gate would have been a big help. -one of the lights in the kitchen was broken and there was another little light wired up strangely. Assuming their is an electrical issue with the light. It was a little dark in there so a big lamp is needed. -the games room isn’t great. It’s very old and needs a revamp. With a little work it could be a great addition. Overall would definitely recommend!!

There are multiple signs for Lanlas cottages, which are small blue arrows however 2 of those are only half visible. Single beds were hard as rock and not comfortable. View is spectacular, hot tub is fantastic. Cottage had absolutely everything we needed. Games room was good with ping pong, pool table and darts board. Aberaeron is so pretty with its pastel coloured houses and harbour. New quay and Aberystwyth not too far of a drive. Great little getaway

  • "The property is in a wonderful location, it just needs some investment in equipment."

For example, there were no wine glasses, although these were provided when requested. The tin opener didn’t work properly, the knives weren’t sharp.... The property meets all the basic requirements to get the stars awarded but I felt this had been achieved in the cheapest way possible and the rental cost did not reflect this. Also on our last night the property next door were partying noisily until 4am - our kids went the the games room at 9am and there were open vodka bottles, full ashtrays, cigarette packets with lighters and it had been left in such a state that they couldn’t use it.

  • "The kettle lid kept flying open half way through boiling spattering out boiling water if left unattended."

This was mentioned in an October 2017 review so owners had not addressed the issue. Cottage very clean and bedding spotless but double mattress in property quite stained. Very comfy even so. Internet connection mostly nonexistant so my son was unable to work in the evenings. Owner did try to fix. 'Recycling centre' on the approach road was actually a massive tip/scrapyard and put us off walking the lanes. Despite this we had a lovely long relaxing weekend and found lots to do and would consider returning one day as cottage lovely and location good once there.
