"An absolute gem of a holiday let that feels like home from home."
Our 2 families had a wonderful stay over New Year. The house was wonderfully warm and comfortable. It was well-equipped, offering plenty for entertainment, cooking and comfort. Beautifully clean and well maintained.
The location was great and it’s clear Harlech is steadily providing more amenities whilst still keeping a village community. Shops, beach, mountains and woodland all close by and plenty of information in the house for what to do and where to go.
The owners were incredibly helpful and provided lots of information and regular check ins to make sure we were comfortable. Can’t recommend enough…would definitely return!

"Beautiful comfortable cottage."
Had everything we needed. The owner gave us a curtesy call. Which was lovely. We were left a lovely welcome hamper. Would definitely recommend this place to family and freinds. Beautiful views of the sea mountains and harlech castle

"A wonderfully cosy and homely place with fantastic views featuring the castle, seaside and mountains."
The house features Sonos speakers throughout, so you can enjoy quality music while relaxing by either of the two fireplaces. Everything is spotless, thoughtfully designed, and a real pleasure to experience.
The garden is spacious and well-screened from neighbours, offering complete privacy despite being right in the heart of town. The beach is just a short, pleasant walk away — perfect for a stroll after a meal.
I would highly recommend the place and would love to return there myself.

"We had a wonderful week at Bryn Awelon."
The weather was wet and wild so we were even more grateful to be staying in such a beautiful and comfortable home from home. Great location, amazing views and everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Matt was a friendly and welcoming host and went out of his way to ensure we had all we needed. Would highly recommend. We will be back!

"Would give 6 stars if I could!"
An amazing house, immaculately clean, super comfortable and with great features like the 2 wood burning stoves. The welcome basket was incredibly thoughtful, covering the basics which meant we could relax as soon as we’d got to the property instead of rushing out to the shops - the same with the wood and kindling for the first evening’s fire.
The welcome brochure was comprehensive and thoughtfully compiled - we followed many of Matt and Jenny’s suggestions and recommendations and had a great time. The castle is practically on the doorstep, the village has some great cafes, and we found Harlech perfectly placed to explore north-west Wales.
James - I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the amazing feedback. Harlech is a brilliant village to base yourself for exploring and I’m so pleased you had a good time. You will never run out of things to do in North Wales. Even when it’s wet - there’s nothing better than just sitting in front of one of the fire’s and relaxing - I know you don’t have the best of the weather last week! I’m glad you also visited the cafes in the village - they are so good.

The house is beautiful and the views are stunning. The house is thoughtfully equipped for children - we appreciated having the cot, highchair, stairgates and bed guards. The children's books proved popular too! We would love to come and stay again. Thank you so much!

"Beautiful property with stunning views enjoyed from so many locations in the property."
A special thankyou to the owners who went out of their way to ensure that we and our kids were having a great time , even helping sort out our car with a local mechanic when we were struggling to find someone to fix it. Thankyou so much. We were made to feel very welcome.

"One of the best holiday rentals ever stayed in!"
It was absolutely beautiful with a stunning outlook over looking the castle and beach in the distance. The host Matt was so helpful and very friendly, and we were welcomed with a delicious hamper upon arrival, which was a lovely touch! The house offered everything we wanted and more! We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children and we could not fault it. It was perfect! We can’t wait to return.

"What a find."
Genuinely one of the best places we've been to. Everything you could possibly want is there, and more! Location and views are amazing.
The house is incredible. We were a family of 5, so the young adult kids had a room of their own. Easily room for 8 if all the beds were fully occupied, and it still wouldn't feel crowded.
Great communication from the owner throughout, butvthe cottage brochure provided before you arrive is so thorough, you can't fail to operate anything.
We'll be back, maybe as a slightly larger family group. Thank you Matt.

"Superb large property with many mod cons."
Parking is a bit of a challenge with steep access, but you can get 3 cars in.
Outstanding views with Harlech Castle and Yr Wyddfa prominent.
Also an outstanding illustrated guide to the property and the wider area.
Richard - thank you for the feedback on the living room cushions. We have now put liners on all feathered cushions to ensure they don’t cause issues for anyone with asthma. I am always looking to improve things for guests. I’m glad you had a great stay and enjoyed it. It was something I hadn’t thought about before.

"Matt and his family have a lovely home in a wonderful part of Wales."
The house is exactly as described, if not better. It’s spotlessly clean, very well stocked, and has an impressive array of entertainment options. The view is stunning. The house is also perfectly located in the lovely village and is great for exploring the local area and further coastline. Matt was very helpful before and during our stay and responded to any messages immediately. We would love to return again in the future.

"A beautifully appointed property, the owners obviously put a lot of thought into it."
Lovely views and great position for everywhere we wanted to visit. Only downside was the difficult parking (for 80+ year olds) and the steps which we were warned about but the view made the effort worth while.
Diane, I’m so glad you had a wonderful time. You’re right, the steps down are steep but I’m pleased it didn’t detract from the holiday…..you’ve been fantastic guests.

"Absolutely loved this holiday cottage."
Beautifully presented and comfortable with amazing views. The perfect base for exploring Eryri but also a place where you can just chill out and relax.

"Fabulous stay, we really enjoyed our break, house had everything we needed plus a few thoughtful extra goodies on arrival."
We had a slight issue with opening of balcony doors didn't want to push too hard in case damaged however this was quickly resolved by dropping a message to Danny who popped round and reassured us half turn of key was sufficient and a firm nudge hey presto; great friendly service.
Sam - you and your friends were great guests. You are welcome back anytime…..we’ll make sure we leave instructions on the balcony doors!!

"An incredible property!"
It is one of the best holiday lets we’ve stayed at in the past 20 years. It was incredibly comfortable, spacious, bright, beautifully decorated and very well kitted out – we wanted for nothing during our stay. The views were stunning, and the sunset behind the castle was especially breathtaking!
We were able to get our groceries locally and also enjoyed eating in the local cafes.
There are plenty of things to see and stunning walks to go on both locally and around Eryri National Park (Snowdonia).
The hosts were very welcoming and responsive to the couple of small queries we had during our stay.
