Their elevated position, enveloped by the working farm and panoramic landscape scenery, offers walking and cycling right from the doorstep. The area is popular with bird watching, even looking out for the ospreys, another popular activity is Trout fisihing Llyn Clywedog, with its 615 acre resrvoir on the head waters of the river Severn. Close by, the charming town of Llanidloes boasts timber-framed buildings and a lovely assortment of shops, cafés and pubs, along with The Severn Way leading to the source of the River Severn. Explore the fabulous Hafren Forest, the stunning lake of Llyn Clywedog or even Powis Castle with its world famous gardens. Clay pidgeon shooting situated in over 300 acres of beautiful countryside, caters for everyone, whether it's your first time or you're a pro, this shooting centre is just a few miles from Powys. The Hafren Forest is just 2 miles away with plenty of walking on guided routes and mountain biking available. Enter the cottage into a cosy arrangement within the sitting room, just off from here is the kitchen with a dining area, and up the open-tread staircase is a set of bedrooms.

The spacious twin is accompanied by a charming double room, neutrally designed, promising a good night's rest, with a shower room next door for your convenience.

The market town of Llanidloes nestles on the eastern slopes of the Cambrian Mountains, with access to some of the most unspoilt and undiscovered scenery both Wales and the Welsh/Shropshire Borders have to offer. Locally, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, with walking, cycling, riding, fishing, tennis, golf, swimming and shooting all available within 10 miles. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are a host of attractions: Powis Castle (National Trust), with its world famous gardens, is just 20 miles away; the Welsh Coast, with its fine beaches, is less than an hour’s drive; Rhayader and the Elan Valley are 40 minutes away; the Shropshire towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach, as are the popular North Wales destinations of Llangollen and Snowdonia. A picturesque region, ideal for an action packed holiday or a relaxing break.
