  • "It would be useful for instructions on some appliances especially if you've never used that type of appliance."

The hot tub was a big bonus we had lots of enjoyment watching the birds feeding on the balcony

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We will check through to see which appliances have not got instructions and add them to our visitors book. Property Owner

The hosts were great and happy to give recommendations of places to visit in the local area. We had a very relaxing holiday and spent a lot of time at the cottage watching the birds or in the hot tub. Would highly recommend to people.

  • "What a lovely welcome going through the gates to Pond Cottage, also the owner welcomed us and gave us an update on the cottage and explained the hot tub."

Opening the door we were amazed at the size of the hall with bedrooms either side both with on suites. Beautiful decorated with colour schemes. Upstairs kitchen everything you would need and spotlessly clean. Lounge and sun room was spacious and spent many an hour watching the bird's of many different kinds. Lovely walks around the grounds and very friendly Dog's and Cats. Really enjoyed the week so relaxing especially in the hot tub. Many thanks Phillipa and Mark for your hard work in keeping the cottage in prestine condition.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we enjoyed having you to stay. So pleased that you had a good week. Property Owner

  • "Lovely, clean and well maintained property."

Dog friendly but don’t let that put you off, it was spotless. An upside down house with 2 en-suite bedrooms on opposite sides of the hallway. One double, one twin. I would have preferred the double to be in the other room which had the nicer walk in shower and was lighter and brighter, but both rooms were good so not a problem and I enjoyed the double ended bath for a good soak. The living area upstairs is spacious with kitchen at one end and sun room with small balcony at the other. The sun room is particularly comfy and loved the filled bird feeder which meant I saw my first ever woodpecker! Your own private hot tub which is fully cleaned between bookings made for good relaxation after a day of coastal hills! Well equipped kitchen; electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with good sized ice box. Washing machine, laundry basket and airer. Hairdryer and towels provided. Dishwasher tablets, hand soap, kitchen cleaning stuff provided. Salt, pepper and cling film/sarnie bags provided so no need to bring. Could do with more ‘proper’ mugs for a good sized cuppa. Tips for a good stay: restaurants get booked up so worth advance booking. Moody cow looked nice for sun lunch. The Pepper pot was pleasant for lunch or dinner. The Cost Cutter local shop in New Quay had a surprisingly good selection inc vegetarian. Big supermarkets are a bit further afield so get an advance Tesco delivery or shop on the way. Note that sat nav only gets you so far, don’t forget to drop a pin on the map once arrived so you can find your way back! It’s not hard once you know but confusing the first few times. We enjoyed walking from llangranog and tresaith to pen bryn (which had the better cafe). All in all, a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you.

  • "A warm welcome from the owners and a property that exceeded expectations."

Peaceful and very relaxing yet only a short distance to all amenities and beaches etc. The property is very well equipped and very comfortable. The owners went above and beyond to make us welcome and were informative about the local area without being intrusive. The hot tub was a luxury we all enjoyed and was maintained to a high standard. Our dogs were well catered for with acres of private space to exercise too. We had a wonderful holiday.

Thank you for a lovely review. We make it our mission to make everyone feel welcome and at home. Property Owner

  • "Philippa & Mark are lovely hosts, they are welcoming, friendly and genuinely want everyone staying at Pool Cottage to have an wonderful experience."

The cottage is very well presented with lovely subtle touches, resulting in a warm relaxing feel. From the recycling to the hot tub, nothing has been left to chance. The grounds and setting are beautiful, with the view over the trees from the balcony and internal seating, provide a total distraction from everything! The bird feeders ensure the TV is not required. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing break, cant wait to return.

The owners had thought of everything that you might need whilst away from home, the kitchen was well equipped and there were lots of little finishing touches that we haven't experienced in other holiday lets. Would not hesitate in recommending Pond Cottage to others.

This delightful seaside town is one of the most popular holiday resorts all year round, and it is easy to see why when you stroll along the sea edge and enjoy the beautiful views. The lovely range of gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs offer all you need, while boat trips are a wonderful opportunity to spot the playful dolphins, seals and other rare animals and birds that inhabit the bay's sheltering waters. For the hands-on members of your party why not try sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and power boating with expert tuition available? The famous poet, Dylan Thomas, penned many works with inspiration in New Quay including "Quite Early One Morning" and you can follow the Dylan Thomas trail around the town. Just 7 miles away is Aberaeron, a lively Georgian harbour town with multi-coloured cottages and a good selection of restaurants and inns. This wonderful area of Wales not only has stunning sandy beaches, but also beautiful countryside walks and the outstanding Devil's Bridge is world-renowned for the three bridges, the narrow gauge steam railway and the cascading waterfalls.
