  • "Absolutley have no concerns recommending Beudy Penarrdwion."

    The property itself is "Home from Home' spacious although cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped. It's a lovely location with beautiful views over the hills. A great base for lots of lovely adventures and walks. Dolgellau is only a short drive to stock up on supplies. You'll find the owners in the nearby farm welcoming and on hand if needed. Highly recommended A+

  • "We had a wonderful time here!"

    We were warmly greeted on arrival by Aranwen, it had been a 7 hour journey with two small boys so we were shattered lol. When we stepped into the cottage it was so cosy and warm and we immediately felt relaxed. There was a bunch of spring flowers on the table aswell as a really thoughtful welcome basket which included two Easter chocolate bunnies for the boys. The kitchen was so well equipped! Which made life so easy, and there is a beautiful view looking out from the glass doors. The lounge area is spacious but not too big that it’s cold, it was just right. It was so handy to have a toilet downstairs aswell with my little boy. The bedrooms were lovely, beds were so comfy and we all slept so well. Shower and bath perfect too. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely stay. Xx

  • "We stayed at the property for 3 weeks, it was a lovely property and delivered everything we expected."

    The owners were really friendly and responsive and ensured we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was warm and welcoming, the facilities and welcome pack were excellent and the beds extremely comfortable. The location of the property was private but also close to amenities and the views were amazing. We would definitely recommend this property.

    Immaculately clean. A very well equipped modern kitchen and a very comfortable bed. No enclosed garden, but this was not a problem with our well behaved dog. We would not hesitate to recommend or stay again.

  • "This was my second stay at this lovely cottage and yet again it didn’t disappoint."

    Such a cosy & clean place to spend a week enjoying this beautiful part of the world. I would definitely recommend anyone staying here if they want to relax and take in the wonderful views. The little hamper and fresh flowers on arrival were a lovey touch, thank you again.

  • "Wonderful property."

    We had a brilliant two weeks. Really nice touches such as flowers and welcome hamper, tea and coffee and milk in the fridge, not to mention hand wash and loo rolls. Not all properties provide all of this. With a two week stay a mid stay clean would be beneficial and change of linen and towels (we asked for clean linen and this was provided with no problems). I think more information should be provided on the website about the open plan shared garden with the owners. The owners had 3 dogs and cats not to mention the sheep in nearby fields. We couldn't let our dog out unacompanied as she didn't get on with the other dogs so it was a bit stressful always having to be on the look out. Also if your dog is adventurous then there is nothing to stop them wandering away and onto the main driveway which is fairly busy with vehicles, tractors etc tooting and froing.

    Well equipped although some instruction manuals would have been useful! Surrounded by fields and trees but still convenient for Dolgellau and the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park. We had a lovely holiday.

  • "We had a lovely week in this property."

    It's in a gorgeous setting, with great views and easy access to lots of fantastic hill walks and the coast. The cottage is very comfortable and we were welcomed with fresh flowers and a thoughtful hamper filled with local treats, as well as chocolates. Only small thing is that the wifi was very weak (which made it hard for my daughter to do her dissertation) and, although the kitchen was very well equipped, we could have done with an additional frying pan. All in all, a great place to stay and we'd thoroughly recommend it.

Encompassed by nature-filled walking trails, breath-taking vistas, and a peaceful setting, Beudy Penarddwnion blends both contemporary and traditional features, whilst offering four guests, pet-friendly accommodation, well-positioned to explore Gwynedd.

Travel down the single-track before parking up on the sweeping private driveway, taking in your tranquil landscape.

Head indoors to reach the living/dining room, bordered by exposed stonework and original beams, where you can unwind and dine as a family.

The kitchen is well-equipped housing state-of-the-art appliances to ease your stay; prepare meals to be enjoyed indoors, or set the picnic bench, perfect for an alfresco affair.

Watch the sun set from the rear, elevated decked area, with your favourite tipple in hand, before sloping off to sleep in one of two well-appointed bedrooms; select between a super-king-size (zip/link), and a king-size, both complete with en-suites and oozing character.

Awaken to the sunrise across North Wales, before exploring the wealth of walking and cycling opportunities within the vicinity; River Wnion is also nearby where you can fish or simply take in the riverside vistas.

Follow the New Precipice Walk / Llwybr Llanelltyd or don your walking boots to summit either Penygader or Aran Fawddwy, resting either side of your abode.

DOLGELLAU

Fairbourne 9.3 miles; Barmouth 10 miles; Aberdovey 23.2 miles.

This small, beautiful market town is located in the heart of southern Snowdonia, between the imposing Cader Idris mountain range and the sea. It’s a superb base for a holiday - perfect for combining the many outdoor pursuits on offer in Snowdonia with relaxing days out on the soft sandy beaches of Barmouth, Fairbourne and Aberdovey. The town itself offers a good selection of shops, five pubs and a wine bar, along with a number of excellent restaurants, cafes and two bakeries, that produce fresh bread and cakes each day. Dolgellau is home to over 200 listed buildings, allegedly the highest concentration in the whole of Wales, and the town is also a designated 'cycle break centre' boasting a range of dedicated cycle routes all around the area. Close by is the Coed y Brenin mountain bike trail and this location is ideal for quiet outdoor recreation with superb scenery, mountains, forests, waterfalls, castles and beaches all close to hand.
