walk to beach. Shops and restaurants, cafes just a walk away, and Sainsburys just across the road. The Hidaway Cottage is very clean, modern and well maintained, ideal for my wife and I and our Cavapoo puppy.

  • "A quaint holiday home, warm and comfortable."

Quite a few ornaments about, if going with small children may be worth having a run round and putting them out of reach or in drawers to avoid breakages. Mattress a little uncomfortable as used to memory foam but was able to cope with it for a week, bedding was so soft and warm. Daughter used both bunk beds, she said they were both comfy. Shower had good pressure and temp was brill, I love a hot shower, hubby prefers his cooler, could've spent ages in it, does get quite steamed up, we just opened the sky light to avoid condensation build up. The Towels were so nice and thick, quite a luxury. Lounge was comfy, heating easy to use, looking at getting hive for our home now. Kitchen had everything you could need and the little welcome pack was a lovely touch. We went with a golden retriever, he settled really quickly, his first time away from home, everywhere is dog friendly and he absolutely loved his walks near the cliffs. Really close to shops and beach, we even used just eat and the delivery driver easily found the property. Would definitely return and recommend to others :)

  • "A great little cottage."

The entrance lane is a little 'down market' (not the owners fault), as is the entrance gate, however, the cottage was immaculate and beautifully presented for us. Don't let the first impressions put you off, and we certainly didn't have any cleaning issues as some past visitors, it was spotless. Great to have our own parking space, free parking is like gold dust we found, even in January. Inside, the cottage is fabulous. Loved the decor and beach/love themed wall art, so homely. Warm (easy to boost the heating), cosy, amazingly well equipped - and the softest towels ever. Sainsbury's is literally over the road, as well as a local greengrocer and a pet shop. So handy for everything. As another reviewer has mentioned, the shower is bijou, but glorious hot water on tap. Our little cockerpoo absolutely loved the wide open beaches to run on and the big soft rug to curl up on after a shower and dry off. Everywhere is dog friendly from shops to pubs, even a smart hotel restaurant. Nice welcome gifts on arrival - thank you Andy and Penny (and Robbie) - and we had a fabulous stay. Our first visit to Norfolk, definitely not our last!

Very well equipped, warm comfortable and clean. Some personal touches that make your stay special. Owner got in touch to ensure all well which shows they care about their rentals. Beech was lovely with lots of space for the dog to run. Parking space great. Couldn’t fault anything. Fabulous and well worth a visit.

  • "Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, well equipped, central position, near the sea, great walks, plenty of good local restaurants."

Location would be best described as down the lane, opposite Sainsburys.

  • "A lovely quirky cottage perfect for us as a couple with our dog."

Great location and nicely decorated. The cottage was exactly as the photographs on the website. As it was end of season the property does need a deep clean. I was getting something I dropped under the sofa and it was full of dust and an old pigs ear chew (not ours) so obviously not had a proper clean. The lounge windows need a deep clean also to remove condensation mould. There were some dead flies on the kitchen window sill too. It may not have had this because it has been booked out constantly. We would come back if this was done. Lovely card welcoming us along with milk, biscuits and dog treats. Thank you

Inside, everything was lovely, with so many little touches which were very much appreciated, like leaving, tea and coffee, a welcome card, dog bowls and even a treat for the dog! The cottage really has everything you need for a lovely stay, and is decorated to make you feel like you are at the seaside. Location brilliant and just a very short walk to the beach and front, as well as a Sainsburys just a hundred yards away. The hosts were great and responded to requests really quickly! • "We had a great week at Hideaway Cottage despite very changeable weather."

It’s in a good location in the town yet tucked away so it’s really quiet. Sainsbury’s store was one minute walk away and parking also very close, cost for the week in the Valentine Road car park was under £9.00. Location is handy for restaurants and the seafront. The cottage is very well equipped which we appreciated and it’s nicely decorated and furnished, bedrooms are small but very comfortable. The location is ideal for exploring the North Norfolk area.
