  • "We had a wonderful experience at The Dell."

    The property was beautifully presented, clean, and very well maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt like a real home away from home. The location was ideal – peaceful and relaxing, yet still conveniently close to everything we needed. The attention to detail throughout the property really stood out, and it was clear a lot of care has gone into making guests feel welcome. Communication was excellent from start to finish, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend The Dell to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay

  • "Clean and comfortable."

    Heating a bit hit and miss! Not used to storage heating,thankfully extra fan heaters available. A very enjoyable stay and nice chalet.

  • "Lovely place to stay, but No oven gloves, only 3 dishwasher tablets for a week, but not enough crockery to do only 3 loads in dishwasher."

    Mattress far to soft and quilt too thick for this time if year. Said dogs to be kept on leads, shame other guests didn't read it, as there were dogs running round off lead from other chalets nearby.

  • "We thought that the property should have been a lower price."

    We have been with Sykes to a number of other cottages and we found that although compact it was difficult to eat around the table as a bit squashed and having the bathroom door opening onto one of us sat at the table made it difficult. It was also difficult carrying bags from the car parking area to chalet 15.

  • "Lovely chalet, just like the photos - clean, comfortable, peaceful, great location, close to the beach."

    Only feedback is for other visitors to be aware of all the facilities provided - these little details help to plan the trip - such as the cafetiere, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, perhaps this could be added to website.

  • "Property smaller than we imagined but sufficient for 4 adults."

    Liked being next to the stream. Well equipped and clean. Only quibble was the toilet blocked twice. Possibly caused by heavy downpours of rain, not overuse as we were out every day for most of the day. Heating worked well. Enjoyed our stay, good location.

  • "We found the bed very hard and quite uncomfortable to get a good night's sleep."

    Both my wife and I developed back ache. Also, we had trouble with the kettle to start with as the lead/connection to the plug seemed to have a fault. We left on the afternoon before as we did not want to get up so early to be out of the property by 09.00 on the day of departure. All other properties we have ever stayed in have a 10.00 departure time, which is much more reasonable.

  • "This is our 3rd time at the Dell and second time in number 15, we really like the place and the location, that is why we come back, the only thing we didn't like was not being able to get in until 5pm which meant that by the time we had finished unpacking and had tea it felt like there wasn't much of the day left to do anything; then having to leave at 9am on Friday meant that Thursday late afternoon was spent packing so it felt like we only had 5 1/2 actual holiday days."

North Walsham 5 miles; Cromer 8 miles; Sheringham 14 miles; Norwich 20 miles.

The attractive, Norfolk coastal village of Mundesley offers pubs, convenience stores and an excellent coffee shop and bar, The Porthole, which is a café during the day and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings it turns into a bar which offers a selection of cocktails. Elsewhere there is a popular golf course, a large park with play areas, a wonderful sandy beach with brightly coloured beach huts, and quaint cottages, many of which are built in local flint stone. The popular seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham, which is known as a stop for steam trains travelling on the Poppy Line Heritage Railway, are both close by. There are many other places of interest in the area, including the National Trust owned Sheringham Park, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, and East Ruston Gardens and Hoverton Hall are a must for gardeners. The Norfolk Broads are also within easy driving distance, where children can enjoy tree-house adventures at ‘Bewilderwood’, or alternatively hire a cruiser and spend the day exploring the waterways. The city of Norwich offers a cathedral, castle, museums, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, various guided tours, excellent shopping and restaurants. Mundesley is an ideal base for exploring the whole of Norfolk.
