“The location is good as it is possible to drive to the North Norfolk or Suffolk Coasts as well as Thetford, King's Lynn, Norwich and Ely.”

The property

Situated on the outskirts of the bustling town of Watton, in Norfolk, is this well-presented semi-detached property, ideal for couples and small families.

Approaching Willow Cottage, you will notice the double glazed windows and driveway, suitable for parking one vehicle.

On entering the property, there is a lovely living/dining space with plenty of sofas to relax and unwind and a modern gas fire with a table seating 6 for dining purposes.

There is a window bench in the bay windows with cushions adding to the property detail.

Moving through into the kitchen area is another table that can be used for dining, seating 2 people, as well as a storage cupboard to the right hand side, whilst the kitchen itself is well-equipped with new SMEG appliances including large cooker, and a convenient washing machine – ideal for those looking to self-cater.

There is a small area between the kitchen and garden area that houses a small cloakroom with WC and basin.

Heading up the stairs, just off the main hallway is the well-decorated main bedroom with a double bed and bedside tables with wardrobes for storage space and a large window affording plenty of light into the room.

Back out in the hallway and next to the main bedroom is a delightful family bathroom boasting an elegant bath and shower over so you can decide how best to prepare for your day.

Along the hallway is the second bedroom, which is slightly smaller containing a double bed, a large cupboard and chest of drawers, perfect for storage as well as a large wooden-framed window that shows off the outdoor greenery on the other side of the property.

Out into the garden is a large private space that has been beautifully presented with a flowerbed and astro-turf lounge area and nicely presented patio area with a large storage shed, which is ideal for storing bikes, golf equipment etc.

Willow Cottage is a short walk or drive from the Richmond Park Golf Club which makes it ideal for those who fancy a round of golf, with lovely greenery surrounding.

There are a number of nearby rivers and lakes, perfect for some fishing and sailing opportunities, whilst the centre of Watton provides exceptional eateries and pubs for some fine food options.

About the location

Swaffham 10 miles; Thetford 15 miles; Norwich 23 miles.

The well-served market town of Watton is in the district of Breckland, just less than 25 miles from Norwich. Perfectly positioned for access to the whole of Norfolk and North Suffolk, this town is thought to be where the 'Babes in the Wood' were abandoned in Wayland Wood. You will see on the town sign that there are two babes, and a hare jumping over the barrel reflecting the town name; wat being the local dialect word for hare, and ton for barrel. There is a traditional market held every Wednesday morning with produce including freshly caught fish, and there are two supermarkets and a number of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs to enjoy. Within reach is the popular Thetford Forest Park, a number of golf courses, other market towns and not forgetting the cathedral city of Norwich. A convenient base for your Norfolk adventure.
