  • "Lovely converted Barn and it has clearly been finished to a very high standard!"

Gorgeous. The surroundings were so peaceful & calming; the quiet was almost deafening! It was blissful. Lovely patio area to relax in. Great to have a fan, blankets for the living room and a very luxurious bathroom to relax in. The downsides: The mattress was far too soft and uncomfortable. It didn't do mine or my wife's back any good. The small 3 seater sofa (bed) has seen better days; it was lumpy and quite uncomfortable. Other areas for improvement: Due to the remote location, a few basic provisions/personal touches would be very helpful. We brought shopping with us, but toilet roll for the duration of the stay would have been helpful. Tea, coffee and sugar. There is a dishwasher, but no dishwashing tablets. Several drawers with bits and pieces in them that should be disposed of. Overall, the surroundings and quality of the finish are top notch. The suggestions above would just elevate the stay, in our opinion, and be more in keeping with the premium feel of The Barn.

  • "As I think we were probably the first people to stay in the barn I’d like to suggest a few little points that would make the property perfect."

The barn is set on a very quiet lane overlooking fields and offered the perfect peaceful romantic break we were looking for- even in the school holidays. The location is perfect as you feel very remote scenically but can actually walk to loggerheads country park and pub, and drive back down to the main road in a few minutes- once you’ve worked out how to get there. The directions we were given were very unclear and we went round in circles until we found a retired post man who directed us to the right lane. Everything about the property is tasteful and tranquil and I’m sure we will go back. A full length mirror in the bedroom would be helpful. Bin liners were not supplied for the only bin in the kitchen- there is no bin in the bathroom. Be aware there is no door between the bedroom and bathroom, and personally I’d much prefer one to be added. I’m nit picking simply for feedback and have given the property a well deserved 5 stars
