  • "Our family have just had a lovely week in Anglesey, staying at the Granffraw Cottage."

    We would totally recommend this cottage. It is very spacious, comfortable, and an ideal location with beautiful close-by beaches and scenery. The owner was very helpful and kind, leaving us the first essentials for our arrival. Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk, Bread, Butter, and even a lovely chocolate celebration cake and apples. There were 12 of us in our party, with 5 cars, easily parked. There is a close by tea and coffee shop near by where you can eat out and also have a beer or wine. The local pub around the corner was closed down at the time we were there, but we were informed they were looking for new owners. There was a spar and one stop about 5 mins drive away, and all of the big supermarkets and ships around 20 minutes drive away. All in all a very modern, clean, well kept cottage, ideal for families to spend time together all under one roof on holiday. Spending quality time together. Thank you for a lovely stay

  • "Glanffraw is a dream."

    We have booked houses for many years on Anglesey for an increasing family spanning 3 generations. The house is perfect for all ages with 3 shower rooms across both floors and a fabulously spacious family room in the loft. Stand out features are the enormous comfy beds and really well equipped kitchen. The house is perfect for accessing lovely beaches; 15 minute walk up the estuary or 2 minute drive, and also close proximity to beautiful Newborough beach as well as Pilis Palace and the Sea Zoo. There is a really useful shop in the village and access to addition amenities just 8 minutes drive away in Rhosneigr. The village has a really great cafe with well cooked food (including jacket potatoes with bacon, Brie and mushrooms!) and very lovely staff. There is a village pub but sadly it was closed for the week we were there but lots if activity so guessing we just fell unlucky. To top it all, Huw our contact, couldn’t have been more helpful, responding to messages within minutes. We will definitely be booking again, not least because this house is such good value compared to other houses we have stayed in, Thank you for a thoroughly fabulous holiday!

  • "We were a 3-generation family and had a really lovely week’s holiday at Glanffraw."

    We had to contact the owner, Huw, the day we arrived and he came round and dealt with the small problem immediately. It was a pleasure to meet him.

  • "Lovely stay , very comfortable beds and very clean."

    Kitchen had everything that was needed. The three bathrooms were a bonus. However, there are a couple of things that need addressing: There are no curtains to any of the windows, which made trying to get to sleep difficult as well as being woken early pre 5 o’clock with the sun shining through the blinds. The small blind in the lounge is broken and could not be closed. Again, as no curtains are in the lounge the reflection on the tv screen of the blinds, made watching the tv almost impossible. Lounge not very inviting to sit in with the type of furniture installed. No instructions for any of the appliances, including the central heating, made the use of the appliances a chore as it was hit & miss trying to figure them out. All that said, we would definitely stay there again.

    I’m sorry you had a few problems with the property. You could have contacted me about a broken blind. I would have sorted it out immediately. The property does have blinds instead of curtains and you are the first to complain about this. I am surprised that you found the lounge uninviting. It has a state of the art computer television a few months old, hand made ltalian leather modular setees which cost over £10,000 new , two poise lamps for reading and a built in log fire with remote control. The whole property has been completely renovated two year ago. Please if guests are unhappy contact me immediately and I will sort it out Thank you Huw Property Owner

  • "Amazing property, great location."

    Ideal for us , 7 adults, 5 children and 1 dog. Good communication with owner before our stay. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk , ice in freezer and even a Birthday cake for my partner were all supplied. Kitchen fully equipped with all cleaning products. New BBQ was perfect. Would highly recommend this property, just perfect.

  • "We had a lovely holiday ,the bungalow was beautiful had everything you needed for the perfect stay."

    It was pretty central for visiting the rest of the island but was remote enough to enjoy the countryside. Would definitely use again when visiting the area.

  • "This is an amazing property!"

    Very roomy.- enough space for adults, kids and a dog to spread out! Beds were really comfy and the bathrooms were brand new and 5* hotel quality! Kitchen-wise, it had everything you could wish for, including a friendly message before arrival to ask what kind of tea/coffee/bread we wanted! Location was perfect - cafe 5 doors down, pub at the end of the road, beach a stone's throw away. What more could you ask for!!!

  • "Beautiful property in Anglesey, very spacious and very clean."

    The outside space is amazing if you have the weather, plenty of space for children to play and secure with gates at the front although quite a busy road. If I had any complaints it would be the towels weren’t properly dry and I think this is due to the quick turn around? All in all would definitely stay again

    Hi I'm sorry to hear the towels weren't properly dry. All towels are washed at least a week in advance, line dried and then tumble dried to the rack dry setting. There are enough towels in the system for four strait turnovers. I do the towels myself so I will keep an eye on it. Thank you Property Owner

  • "Absolutely perfect cottage, accommodated us all brilliantly."

    There were basic supplies provided (bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee) I was actually getting married nearby but the cottage was a perfect base to run errands all over Anglesey so I know it would be a perfect base for anybody visiting to explore the Island. Property owner was great, we had accidentally not been given enough towels but they were dropped off within the hour. We were also given some flexibility morning of the wedding (I know this would be dependent on whether or not there were more guests arriving) but it was greatly appreciated in the rush of getting out to church on time, a couple of people went back to collect belongings etc. Overall a great stay, beds were really comfortable, showers had brilliant pressure and the bathrooms in general were lovely.   • "Just spent four nights with my family at this beautiful property."

    Exceeded expectations just beautiful. We arrived to fruit, tea, coffee, milk and a huge chocolate cake. Well located with lots of beaches within easy distance, coastal paths and local shops. We will definitely make sure we come back.!!

  • "Lovely, comfortable property."

    Kitchen and bathrooms all new and stylish. Kitchen well equipped and great for family meals. Bathrooms spotlessly clean with great showers and kids loved the huge bath. Bedrooms clean and comfortable - plenty of wardrobes and drawers. Property close to village and short drive to other beaches and Rhosneigr. Would have liked better weather but we still had a fabulous family holiday. Owner was helpful and easy to contact - basic supplies left which were much appreciated. The only negative was entrance to driveway could have been wider - difficult to negotiate with bigger cars. Overall a most welcome break

  • "Great cottage in a lovely location."

    Good base to look at Anglesey. Plenty of space, with bathrooms and kitchen looking brand new. Kitchen/dinner a little bit cramped with 12 but manageable. Nearby beach great, for tiring children and dogs out. Host very quick to sort out any problems/queries.

    Thank you for your good feedback. I winter stored the small decking stools and 21 large cushions in the kitchen, which did limit the area for dining. I’ll move these Items out of the way to the rear hall, giving the kitchen much more space. Property Owner

Glanffraw is a spacious, detached dormer bungalow situated in the historic seaside village of Aberffraw, Anglesey.

An ideal abode for families, friends and couples, Glanffraw features a contemporary interior with a well-appointed kitchen/diner, housing an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, so grab those cooking books and relish in some home-cooking!

Escape to the enclosed garden and enjoy an evening tipple as you reflect on the holiday thus far, before finding the elegant bathroom for a freshen up, wherein you’ll find a lavish freestanding bath and walk-in shower.

Five bedrooms rest within the property, each boasting plush mattresses and high-quality beds.

The ground-floor offers three wonderful bedrooms, including two king-size rooms, and a twin with zip/link beds, which can be arranged as a king-size on request.

Upstairs is the master family bedroom, complete with 2 king-size beds, as well as an additional twin with zip/link beds.

Head out the door and explore the local village, home to a shop/Post Office, lovely tea rooms and bar, art gallery and nearby Cidery, or you could use the local bus service to explore plenty of nearby places of interest.

The beach at Aberffraw is one of the finest on the Isle, or venture further afield and head up to Rhosneigr where you can test your skills at a variety of watersports.

Those nature lovers of the group can visit Parc Gwledig Morglawdd Caergybi - Breakwater Country Park and wander along its numerous scenic trails, go birdwatching, or dabble in a spot of fishing.

The Anglesey Coastal Path is a wonderful route with stunning views, whilst elsewhere on the Isle is the Pili Palas Butterfly Farm and Anglesey Sea Zoo, a great choice for a day out.
