  • "This property is beautiful and well maintained."

Close to amenities and around the corner from the train station which been a non-driver made it easy to still get out and about at low cost. This was second time visiting the property and will be booking again for next year. Although out of season it was still nice to be two minute walk from the beach and views from windows.

  • "Our 3rd visit to this lovely house and we have booked again for next year so I think that says everything."

If I could make a few observations though, curtains or blinds in the running room would certainly be an asset, not only for heat conservation but also privacy, the house at the back being able to see straight in the room.

  • "We have just returned from a lovely stay."

The house position is fabulous, just across the road from the beach with beautiful sea views. The house is so comfortable, easily accommodated our 6 adults and 2 dogs. It was spotlessly clean, the beds so comfy, and the spa bath a great luxury. The welcome pack was the best we’ve had. The house is equipped with absolutely everything you would need, a real home from home. We will definitely return next year and will be recommending this property very highly.

  • "This beautiful house made our holiday in Wales one of the best ever ."

It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable , 2 minutes from the fabulous beach and a short walk from shops and cafes . Llandudno and Old Conwy were a short drive away as was Snowdonia National Park . The house is very near a welcoming dog friendly pub and the thoughtful owner has provided everything required for a home from home ( and a lovely welcome pack ) . No hesitation in strongly recommending this holiday home to couples , families and dog owners alike .

Very clean and very impressed with the little things provided such as hand washes, dishwasher/washing machine tablets etc! I’ve been to places before and it’s not provided and it’s a lot harder to take all that stuff. House was lovely and clean! Towels were super soft. Super close to the beach and although there wasn’t direct property parking we never struggled to get parked. Very pleased and would come back!

  • "We absolutely loved our first holiday away using Sykes Cottages."

The cottage away couldn't have been any better for myself and my sisters we loved it but I wished we had booked for two weeks. Cleanliness was good but previous occupants must have had a dog as when we walked around the house our socks picked up loads of dog hairs and you could also see them on the fire surrounding in front room, it did not really bother us as we were aware people could bring pets if desired and I took my antihistamines as I have fur allergies and it did not trigger them. I am only mentioning the animal hair/fur as constructive criticism not a complaint.. After saying all that I would go back again in a heart beat, literally over the road from the beach and the scenery was amazing as was Beausite Cottage..

It is beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with all mid cons. Just a couple of things that would enhance things further please. Sharp knives, sharp potato peeler and the PIN code for the tv, allowing catch up to be watched.

  • "A dream distance to the prom & a beautiful house, a little gem."

Such pretty rooms & I adore the doggy themed art work, quirky & 1 of my favourite artists. Very clean, comfortable & cosy. Everything was easily explained in the welcome folder & some brilliant walkable/bus rides to fab places nearby which are dog friendly. Bryn Euryn Nature Reserve, Pwllycrochan Woods, Conwy, LLandudno, Rhos-On-sea. The only teeny tiny bother was parking (being just my dog & me) on arrival/carrying bags, but resolved it when the space became available the next day, so snapped it up. The bedrooms were wonderful, well thought out, as some i've been have poor access to plugs or nowhere to sit to dry hair/make up etc...perfect,as were the lounge and living area, very homely & relaxing. The bathroom is lovely, very spacious with a spa bath. The garden is secure and a good size. Overall, a wonderful stay & I would love to return next summer with my Dad. Thank you.

  • "This is a lovely property and base in North Wales."

Couldn't really be much closer to the Colwyn Bay beach, which is a large sandy expanse. Unfortunately it was closed for 4 days during our stay as they implement improvements. The house is a 5 minute walk from supermarket for essentials. The spa bath is wonderful as are the outdoor dining facilities. Furnishings are first class and there are a host of books that you can read in the bookcase. The dining room table has improved since we booked and a TV added in the dining room too. The only disappointing thing was the welcome basket, which had 2 single cereal boxes for one bowl and some hot chocolates.

The downstairs toilet is a good addition. The living furniture is great for the size of the property and all the beds were extremely comfy, although it would be improved by having two pillows per person. The kitchen benefitted from a dishwasher and is modern with the majority of equipment needed, however, a large pan to cook pasta or potatoes would have helped. The outside is great for dogs as it is all enclosed and the garden furniture is of a very high quality. The property itself is situated in a quiet street but has stunning views of the bay. It was so relaxing sitting out on the front terrace of an evening with a G&T. Being so close to the beach meant we could nip back to the house for all our needs within a minute. Overall a great holiday which would have been perfect with the two recommendations above.
