  • "There was a lack of any cleaning equipment, no vacuum cleaner, no mop and bucket, over powering smell of air fresheners, the corner shower was designed for a small person, the sofa was very uncomfortable, the garden furniture needs a clean and the garden needs tiding up."

We were there for a week but left on the Tuesday as we so disappointed

  • "A lovely well equipped ground floor apartment, in a great location, but so many issues spoiled our week."

The bedding and towels were great, bed comfortable but the overpowering stench of dog was truly dreadful. I even bought febreze to use on the sofa and carpets, to no avail. Someone had clearly allowed their dog access to the sofa and bedroom. It desperately needs a paint job, with marks everywhere and stains on the wall in the bedroom and on the ceiling and walls in the lounge presumably from the flat above. There were cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom fan wasn’t working and the shower tray was cracked, causing a dangerous sag in the centre. The bins outside on the drive were overflowing when we arrived. During the week we saw various people around, who in fact were maintenance for the owners. We learned that they were aware of all the issues and we were told they were going to be dealt with when the apartment was not booked. The dreadful smell was mentioned by the previous review, so they clearly know about that too. In the meantime people are clearly expected to put up with it. It’s a great shame, as the apartment should, and could, be lovely. It’s a great shame that people are booking and paying in good faith and also that notices in the property regarding the rules about pets are not adhered to!!

  • "This was our second stay at apartment 1, last year the only issue we had was an internet connection loss for a couple of hours."

During our stay this year, again we had an internet loss for a whole evening & into next morning which causes the tv not to work too. The doggy urine smell in the main room was very intense, I bought air fresheners, candles etc to try & eliminate it but to no avail. The bedding was damp & stained so very uncomfortable to use, in general the place was dusty & lots of spiders on the walls & ceilings & also marks on the walls. When we first arrived the garden was very untidy although after a few days someone came to do the weeding but the garden furniture was filthy, so totally unusable which is such a shame as we had beautiful weather. Such a lovely quiet location but very disappointed with the presentation of the property this time.

  • "Lovely apartment and accurately described."

We were grateful for the cot and high chair being provided also. In hindsight it was probably a bit small for two adults, two children and two dogs but that was our fault. The property would benefit from a coat rack in the hall. The walls on the bedroom were also splashed with something when we arrived which I wouldn’t have expected. Everywhere else was clean and tidy.

  • "Fantastic apartment, extremely clean and well equipped."

Sofa bed was very comfy. Bathroom was lovely with a great shower. Wifi was really good. My only comment was the garden it needs a little tlc and unfortunately wasn’t secure enough for my dog as she does like to explore and there was gaps in the fence and the gate wouldn’t close but apart from that it was perfect.

  • "Very clean property with a good shower."

Building work next door may have an impact if you wanted to sit outside and may have an impact on parking if all the apartments were full. We had to park on the road at the top because the builders were parked outside. Short walk into Conwy, a bit further to the beach which our dog loved despite it being February.

The flat was immaculate and perfectly placed I have already booked for next year we all really had a good break and the dogs loved the walks up the mountain which was a bit of a hike at first Our only issue was that it was so nice we bought a mop and bucket to keep it how we found it and we could have done with a hover to keep the carpet clean I bought so lint clothes rollers which did the job but next year I will bring it ha-ha

About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
