  • “This cottage is in the most beautiful setting.”

It was immaculate and had everything you needed. In the perfect location for loads of different walks and the hosts were so nice and helpful. I will definitely be staying again.

The property

A semi-detached, stone-built cottage set within the majestic Snowdonia National Park, on the outskirts of Beddgelert.

Built from stone dating back 400 years, Waterfall Cottage promises to be a charming escape to an area carved by a unique culture and history which is complemented by natural beauty, wildlife and a wealth of picturesque villages.

Perfect for a couple, this characterful cottage houses everything you and your loved one could possibly need for a romantic retreat.

Be welcomed into the spacious bedroom/sitting room, where the warmth of the electric fire fills the room with tranquillity during those chilly winter months and the charming exposed brick wall and the exposed beams reflect the history of the building.

Look forward to curling up on the sofa and tune into the TV to truly unwind after a day exploring the outstanding location, before stepping into the well-equipped kitchen where you will find all the essentials to cater for yourselves for a week-long break.

The property is completed by the shower room with shower, basin and WC.

During the warmer months, couples can spend a moment or two upon the patio area where views of the Beddgelert Forest can be enjoyed whilst soaking up the sun.

If you can tear yourself away from this quaint spot, venture to the centre of Beddgelert, where you will find a selection of traditional pubs and eateries, as well as a choice of shops to explore.

For those feeling active, you will find a myriad of walking tracks from the doorstep of the cottage, which include the Beddgelert Forest and further afield are the mountain peaks of Glyder Fawr and Carnedd Llewelyn.

About the location

Porthmadog 6 miles; Caernarfon 13 miles.

The picturesque village of Beddgelert lies in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park at the foot of Mount Snowdon. Beddgelert is a bustling village with arts and craft shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, centred around the Afon Glaslyn river. A 20 minute stroll along the river will take you to the Aberglaslyn Pass, one of North Wales’ most famous beauty spots. The Welsh Highland Steam Railway passes through the village on its journey from Porthmadog to Caernarfon. Beddgelert is famed for its monument to the Welsh Prince Llewelyn's dog, whom the Prince killed thinking it had attacked and killed his son, only to discover afterwards it had been defending his son from a savage wolf attack. With Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Borth y Gest and the whole of the Llyn Peninsula easily reached, this is an ideal location for a Welsh holiday.
