"I can highly recommend Ty Llewelyn."
If you are looking for peace and tranquillity with a beautiful view, and within a 10 minute drive to Snowdon and most of the other well known peaks, this is the perfect place. It's exactly what I was looking for. Me and a mate who work in London wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days and relax, take in the scenery, do some hiking. Honestly this place was perfect - with it being an old Welsh stone cottage you get the full experience of being in Wales. Why would you stay in a characterless hotel when you could stay here. Don't miss out!!
Thank you so much for your perfect review I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully see you again.

"We loved our stay at Ty Llewelyn."
A warm comfortable cottage in the most beautiful surroundings. Great on your doorstep and lovely to come back to log fire after a day walking. Elwyn was really helpful gritting the access road when it snowed. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Elwyn for a great holiday.
Thank you for taking time to write a lovely review. And it would be lovely to welcome you back

"It is many years since our last visit but the property was still in a reasonably good state of repair."
A few blinds and light bulbs not working properly. The shower is cramped and difficult to use without spilling on to the floor. There is evidence of a continuing problem in this area. Love the underfloor heating, but we didn't need it on inthe recent hot weather.
Thank you Gareth for your review I’m glad you enjoyed your stay

"We had a fantastic stay at Ty Llewellyn!"
The cottage is cosy and very well equipped. The views are spectacular. We came during May and had lambs come right up to the cottage which made for great entertainment for our 1 year old. The location exceeded our expectations and was in the perfect spot for many walks.
The cottage feels remote yet is so convenient to get to with plenty of parking and an added bonus was Tesco delivery being available right to the cottage.
It is a steep drive up to the cottage but is not far up from the main road and our car handled it fine.
The owners were so friendly and helpful and we will definitely be staying again. Thank you again for a lovely stay!
Thank you so much for your perfect review I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcome you back

"I stayed at the cottage because I had walked past it a few times on the way to Moel Siabod, and thought it looked nice."
It’s 12 minutes away from Pen y Pass and a short drive from Betws-y-Coed, so the location is ideal for hiking and in a quiet location, especially if the other two cottages are unoccupied, although the walls are so thick, we didn’t hear them.
The single track road to the cottage is steep and I hit a rock trying to let a van pass, so I need a new tyre, not a great start. On arrival it wasn’t clear which cottage was mine, not a big deal, but a sign would have helped so I didn’t disturb the neighbour to the left, walking past their window. Outside to the rear, the broken old plastic box next to the heat pumps, with rubbish in doesn’t give a nice image. Inside the cottage is nice, small and rustic, but it needs to be refreshed. The sofa was ripped and wood showing through, the dining chairs were split and the cushions collapsed. It didn’t matter how high the heating was turned up, the downstairs was cold, so the wood burning stove is essential. The kitchen was a mixture of glasses and crockery and the knives were blunt, really frustrating when trying to cook. Upstairs was lovely and warm, the double bedroom to the front was a good size with comfy bed, the back room with bunk beds was a little small but again nice. The bathroom was ok but the water stopped completely on three occasions, and wouldn’t come back on for ages, this is a major inconvenience mid shower or when you have to go downstairs to wash your hands. The shower curtain is far too small to shower in and just gets in the way and the skylight in the bathroom leaked when it rained. Such a shame as the location is ideal and if it was improved a little it would be an amazing place to stay.
Thank you for your review and I’ve taken all your points and will address them. Apologies for the water that has never happened before .
Regards

"We have stayed in these cottages several times before and we have always been cosy , warm and clean."
The under floor heating is a real bonus after a long days hiking. We had another fantastic week exploring the local mountains, paths and villages. We parked the car for a couple of days and walked Moel Siabod, Capel Curig and the river walk. We had snow which was a bonus which stayed around for 5 days and made the scenery even more spectacular . The faciilties are excellent, comfy warm beds, great equipped kitchen , washing machine , fridge and freezer ( Tesco will deliver just before the snow ) The owners are so friendly and helpful and offered to get us out of the snow but we were ok . The outside space has a washing line if needed and also seats and benches. The location and views are incredible. The shower is amazing so hot and powerful. The extras left for us where a great help . Thank you so much Elwyn and Lorri for another fantastic stay , we will be back and recommend to anyone needing a complete break away from it all. Please be aware this is a working hill farm with sheep so please be respectful and close gates. Best Wishes Martin and Ken
Thank you both for the amazing review always a pleasure to welcome you here. Perfect guests and now friends. Hopefully see you in the spring
